Thread: SeeD Uniform?

I've been playing Final Fantasy VIII while I wait for my nVIDIA card to be ready for installation and I was reminded just how cool the SeeD dress uniform looked. If any of you tailors out there remember FFVIII please drop me a PM here on the forums with what you think would be a cool looking SWG adaptation of the SeeD uniform from the best Final Fantasy game ever made. I think it could be pulled off rather well and would make a cool wardrobe set.

Do you have a picture of this by chance?

I'm a big fan of movie outfits for use in SWG.

I've got Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings, Wonder Woman, Rikku [ff 12], hellraiser, queen akaisha [queen of the damned], ....there's one or two I'm forgetting now.

This shot depicts the top of the jacket which is the most defining part of the uniform in my opinion. Translated into craftable SWG items I'd describe the pants as being blackcomfortable slacks from the Formal Wear line. The boots I'd describeas being either black uniform boots or black high quality boots.

Might be able to pull off the jacket with a reinforced jacket, but it'd be a stretch. It's the only one with semi-pouffy shoulder pads that are 2nd color implimented.

Seeing it from that angle, no, I don't see anything that could really make the switch to SWG apparel. There are closed-front, belted jackets with a colorable shoulder piece/area.


Avested jacket in all dark navy would be a nice suplicant choice, imho, but no colorizable shoulder pad.

Long formal is nice with crisp lines, but doesn't come in dark blue, & no colorizable shoulder pad.

Padded is nice also. It has a colorizable shoulder pad, nice lines, but it's not terribly long, and there is no belt.


I'd go with the padded jacket, darkest navy [or black] with gold shoulder pads and a black assassin's bandolier.

Should read 'no' closed-front, belted jackerts with a colorable shoulder piece/area. The reinforced pull over has a belt and is closed but if you colorize the shoulerpad you'll have to also accept that same color on another area of the garment, which will totally blow the look you're going for.

What about a Uniform Dress Jacket with a silver or blackchestplate, navy blue shoulder pads and black sleeves?

Is there not a shirt from the formal wear line that has shoulder areas that can be a different color than the rest of the shirt?

I don't mean to take up space, just bumping this to see if there are any other ideas on how to implement this uniform with the current clothing in-game.

The chest would be too different in texture, too shiney to impliment for the look you're striving to achieve.


Looking at the last picture you linked, I would say your best bet would be the padded jacket, for sure. That's the piece that seems to be the whole ball of wax in this SeeD outfit.
