Hi all,
I just wondered what is considered a fair price for RAP's? I know that it varies from server to server, but I've spoken to a armoursmith recently who wanted me to sell him a run of 1000 for 100k (he wanted 3 runs). I've ended up charging him 150k for a run, but I just wondered if I'm over or under charging?
thx

Well if you are talking about Reinforced Fiber Panels, then 150k for a run 1000 is an ok price. That would be about 5cpu. If you gather your own resources, I would think you would be making a decent profit.
If on the other hand you are talking about Armor Padding for Wookie armor, then I think you may be loosing money. Once again, it would depend if you gather your own resources. The high quality hides plus expermintation involved, I wouldn't charge any less than 800k per 1000. But I generally do not run wookie pillows. I have the armorsmith supply all materials and make a schematic for a nominal fee of 1000.

Lol, yeah wasn't thinking straight, I did mean reinforced fiber panels (knew it didn't sound right!)
Thanks for the advice, I felt that the price sounded ok, the really annoying thing is that its 30+ hours worth of work in a factory - I can see the sense in selling schematics!

It might be 30+ hours in a factory, but it's really about 5 minutes work for you. Unfortunately, the factory is unusable until it's finished, but that's not so bad.
I charge 10cpu for factory runs of cloth. For the armour padding in wookie clothes, I charge around 200 cpu. That's because I usually use hides that cost 100 -150 cpu to get. An armoursmith paid 2 million for a run I had using Oheld wooly hides.
- Synth (20 units) - 200,000for a full run
- Trim (25 units) - 250,000 for a full run
- RFP (30 units) - 300,000 for a full run

Can anyone help me aswell. I have just sold 1000 units of synth cloth for 300K is this a good price. I was put on the spot and I needed the cash so I just agreed to the price I was quoted.
I have rtied looking through the forums to find a guide on pricing for mass producing components but I have turned up nothing.
can anyone help?
Cheers

LOL I feel so much better having picked up novice tailor. I am trying to do the experimentation tree by crafting mabari armorweave armor and believe me, I go through like 2000 units of synthetic cloth a week. I shudder to think of the money I'd be spending if I had to buy it from a tailor.

Thats cool, thanks for all the info
I'll go with the 150k per 1000 for the panels, for this order, but increase for any more I think
