Thread: Hmmm... macro issue?

I'm in-game right now, grinding away, when I realize that while my macro is working as it should (working as it always has before...) and is using up my resources, it's not causing the timers on the crafting tools to start and it's not giving me any xp. Can someone shed some light on this for me? (If this is in the FAQ, I do apologize, I didn't see it.) I'm going to relog and hope it's a bug, but I'm kind of afraid that it's not, because when I do something by hand, the timer works and I get xp.

Thanks!

Usually this will only happen to one tool in eight and it signifies a critical assembly failure—if it's happening to all your tools you've either got really bad luck, or there's something borked. Not sure which.

I always just copy and paste that macro from your site, Jess, and it's worked fine till today. I WAS too near my crafting station, but even after I went outside and changed my macro, it was still doing it. I dunno. I finally just rewrote all my macros, and that seemed to do the trick. *shrug*

For me it depends on timing too. I have accidently had my pauses wrong and I did not get any XP for some reason. Changing the pauses fixed it.

The thing is, I didn't change ANYTHING about the macros. I just copied it, deleted it, repasted it, and then it worked. This game is weird.

My macros also like to delete themselves every time I log out... which is obnoxious. But I can live with having to rewrite them every time I log in.

If the macro is too long, it will delete part of it for some reason.

Write them in the in-game /notepad. Then it takes about a second to repaste it and go when you login.
