I saw this in the Core Systems forum yesterday and I tested it this morning to see how it works! It seems that the shuttles hate me and it is almost impossible for me to make a complicated trip in less than 20 minutes.

There are some commands that seem to help a lot, though! First of all, you don't need to be at the ticket vendor to buy tickets. If I am in Dearic and I need to go to Bestine I would just type,

/purchaseticket talus Dearic_Starport corellia Coronet_Starport single

/purchaseticket corellia Coronet_Starport tatooine Bestine_Starport single

I end up buying the entire trip's tickets ahead of time!

Also, if I wait inside the starport, there is always one of my customers there who recognize me and want some new clothes *right now*! That is sometimes fine, but it is a hassle if I am really busy. If you are near enough to the shuttle (some places just outside of the starports are) you can just type

/board transport

Then you can take the shuttle from a secluded spot! Anyway, I hope this doesn't get immediately nerfed because it has reduced my wait to the 10 minutes that they say we are supposed to wait instead of some of these 30 minute trips (from talus to rori) that I often take.

OOOOOO!!! I never understood why you couldn't book an entire trip in advance from one location.

I had to endure a good 20 minutes of "immersion" yesterday just going from Theed to a player city on Tat. And Theed is insta!

And to get completely off-topic and un-correspondenty... I think the shuttle times are just a crimp on the casual player. Group hunt on Dantooine? It takes at least a good half hour for everyone to get there, not because they're late, but because someone somewhere misses a shuttle. So you have to either 1) stay on your home planet or 2) block off a good 4 hour chunk of time (30 minutes of "immersion", 30 minutes of messing around with buffing and whatnot, 20 minutes of waiting for the guy who came an hour late to find your waypoint, 20 minutes of waiting for the guy who died from his own stupidity to make it back from the cloning center, and oh yeah some time to kill stuff), which a lot of us don't really have.

"immersion" lol what a joke.. there was HYPERDRIVE in the books and movies.... don't know where this hopping planets all fits in *shrug* i'd like to live on talus but if i can't get to naboo in one shuttle trip its just not worth it to me *shrug*

Nic tip

I am having issues with player cities (specifically one that has two words in its name). Have you found the proper syntax for dealing with multi-word names? Is it different for shuttleports?

fomr what i remeber fomr my quick testing yesterday

use _ not space for multiword names

lowr case for planets and upper for town and space/starport

most imporetantlyy check what the ports called some are starports some spaceports and even a fww with other names, as for shuttle ports semes to work (ojnly had one try)
