This is something that I've been wondering about and haven't seen it addressed here at all. There are many shirts that are worn by both male and female. When I create a shirt, it always has very female curves in it! It still shows curves when I view it on the vendor as well. Do male characters see these curves when they view the item or do they see them without?

Yes. It always defaults to a female form for some reason unless it is a male-only piece of clothing. You can make them look male temporarily by having a guy wear the clothes and then drop them in your house, but when the clothes are reloaded back into the world, they change back. ![]()

Oh thanks for bringing this up, I've always wanted to post about it but I keep forgetting.
I think it should be changed... so that every clothes are shown as worn by someone of the sex of the person examining it, except when it's something they can't wear. How hard must it be for male character to choose clothes? No wonder I've always had comments about tailors selling only female clothes!

speaking as someone whos looke dfor clothes for my male char a few times id just like to add that if im just browsing the bazar or someons vender (without them present) then its very difficult to decide if i want to buy something as i can never be sure how it looks in its male form if its a unisex item

Well, this could certainly affect sales when the less adventurous male players pass something over because they can't visualize how it will appear. This is something the devs should hear about.

I think I should be able to switch the view from male to femal while crafting the item. It's like crafting necklaces to try and get a suit shirt tie to match pants or a jacket. Sure, I could pick the same color from the palatte, but we all know that some clothes take dyes better than others. Also, some shirts look too girly when viewed with that female form, so I always avoided making them for males, like the short sleeved shirt. Then I had one insist I make one for him once, and he tried it on right there, and I saw it didn't look so girly on a male form. But I can't see that until it's tried on, and neither can my customers. It's very difficult sometimes to picture what an item would look like on a male.

This is an issue that I brought it in our recent compilation of top 20 issues. Unfortunately we really have so many other things that need fixing first, that I don't think anyone really paid attention to it, but I suggested the same thing you did - that for unisex clothes we have a button we can toggle for male and female forms. This seems to be important for shirts, and some jackets and body suits. There have been times when I was trying to make an outfit for a guy, and I had to guess whether some of the pieces were going to look good for a male figure. I would also like the ability to set displays in either form instead of having them all with a feminine look. There are also one or two clothing items that actually look different on males and females - the suit shirt for example has a tie when a male wears it, but not when a female does, though I don't know if this is intentional or a glitch. I doubt we'll be seeing any changes on this any time soon.
