Thread: Singing Mountain and Nightsister themeparks: Tailor schematics

I would like to propose that actual themepark schematics be added to the themeparks for the Singing Mountain Clan and Nightsister strongholds. These schematics would be the clothes of each faction, with the full selection not available until you finish the park.

The clothes would be unstatted, but would have an optional component that would add a stat: the blood of a member of the opposite faction. Thus, with Singing Mountain blood, you could make statted Nightsister clothes.

I would suggest that the blood be a loot drop off of the opposing faction, and that the blood would have stats as if it were a skill attachment. Singing Mountain blood would grant mostly polearm bonuses, with a few rarer ones, for example.

Don't limit the number of uses of the schematic, but do require dathomirian resources to make it. Perhaps dathomirian fiberplast and dathomirian flora to dye it. Dathomirian resources are rare enough that this shouldn't be a problem of making it too common.

Maybe make it a requirement to have at least 3000 (maybe more, maybe less) factio to be able to wear it.

hehe, old idea . I wonder if in another 6 months bright and shiny new tailors will be again putting forth idea's just like this one. Only to be worn down and crushed by the absolute dearth of any new tailor content as time goes by.

Eh, as a Master Tailor with 5k NS faction who has done the park, this'd just be gravy for me. I'm proof that crafters can do this.

First: I see enough people pretending to be Nightsisters without knowing what it entails, or thinking that running the themepark makes them Nightsisters when it doesn't. I don't want to do anything more to encourage this…unStar Warsiness. Second: while I too have run the NS theme park, I don't know that the majority of tailors would be able/willing to do it—add to that the loot drops and we've just set up another problem exactly like that of the limited-use looted schematics. I just don't think it'sa good idea. We need more permanent, standard content; not more hard/expensive to get specialty items.

Ok, I like the idea of "faction-specific" clothing. Anything that adds uniqueness to individual toons. But the thing I really hate to see at this point is more "loot-driven" schematics. That's really all we've seen since launch and it really leads to the "tailor-as-crafting-machine" mentality. I'm sure you all know what I mean. People bring you a schematic and enough components to run it however many times, hand it to you, out pops some nice stuff, you hand it back to them, and that's your crafting experience. I really would much much much rather see some things added to our "base" profession than more specialized loot at this point.

True, you'd get a bunch of "wanna-be Nightsisters" but I doubt it would be that bad. There'll be Mandalorian Armor soon and I think even though it'll be rare there'll be alot "Boba wanna-bes" (even more then there are already =P)

It wouldn't make the situation worse in terms of what I said above (especially if you restrict the clothes to people with a certain amount of faction) and it would add something nifty and unique looking.
I'm sure there would be people wearing it having no idea about back-ground etc. of what they're wearing, but someone could kill and take the clothes off a Nightsister and wear them without having a clue. I'd be up to the people who know about it to point out to them what's behind those clothes. =)

Concerning the "hard to get" issue I'd like to say that making the schematics somewhat hard to obtain would only reduce the people running around in the clothes.

The Nightsister themepark is badly in need of a reward revamping, too. For the people that take the time to get their faction up to the point that they can get into the Stronghold safely, there's no badge, very little faction points, low credits, and zero items. Consequently, most people don't do the park because there's no point to it for the amount of combat involved towards the end of Gethzerion's missions.

Quiet! all of you! lol, I want that backpack with the long feathers sticking out of it, and I don't care if it makes me a wannabe nightsister (nightbrother? ).

And seriously, limited run schematics of new clothing is better then no new clothing at all . Aw hell, I dont' think they'll add anything at all anyways so I guess it doesn't matter either way.

And more options is always good, doesn't matter if we have a few wannabe nightsisters running around without knowing anything about em. I imagine there are a few people out there who would be delighted to be able to roleplay as nightsisters. We have a guild of people on Bria that roleplays as stormtroopers. They run around in ST armor and act like storm troopers, it's kinda cool . Would be neat if a guild of nightsisters popped up like that, and letting us make nightsister clothing could make that possible.

Agreed. The fact that all you get from the missions is a single stimpack of varying quality (I've done the park with two toons now) that heals mind is pretty crappy…but, I still don't want to see Nightsister clothing craftable. There are way, way, way too many smacktards running around playing Nightsister already, and I don't have the time or patience to educate them all. In short, I think it would destroy immersion just as much as the old ID cross-species bug, and I'm 100% against it.
