I did the test,
I'll crafted 20 Long Uniform Gloves. 10 of them were named "Long Uniform Gloves (Black)" while the other 10 were not renamed and stayed as "Long Uniform Gloves" and all sold on the Theed Bazaar.
I logoff, come back home from work. All my 10 "Long Uniform Gloves (Black)" were sold... and only 2 were sold from the 10 that I did not add the color.
So Tailors, novice and masters... write the color of your clothes in the item description!!! Not only will you help our lives much easier, but people BUY clothes that have the color name written!!!
Why? Because we ALL and I repeat *ALL* hate having to go through dozens of "same-name" clothing just to find the right color. If I find well stocked Clothing Vendor, but the tailor did not label his products, I'll just close the Vendor window, walk out, press CTRL+V and look for the next closest vendor. It's much quicker than having to go through hundreds of different clothes.
The reason I'm saying this is because finding a Tailor to do a special order is very hard lately. I dunno what happened, but on Kauri, forget it... I can never ever find an available, nice and polite Master Tailor to make clothes for me. So at least if I can't find a good tailor to help me, I'll go browse the Clothing Vendors. See where I'm getting at?
And if you don't want to do this for the customers, then do it for YOURSELF!!! I promise you, do the test yourself! Do exactly what I did, sell clothes with their color name written and sell clothes without the color written! I can bet you right now you will always sell your clothes with the color name and whatever doesn't have a name will be stuck in your vendor until you run out of clothes without the color name written.
In 2 weeks I made 5 million credits just selling clothes at 300-6000 credits each! All because I wrote the color of the clothing in the item name.

I tag my clothes with the color combo, my tag and my cities tag.
ie. Infiltrater Skin Suit Black/White KVD MIA
Black/White: Black Primary color, White secondary
KVD: My alts line
MIA: Made in Amyrlin- my city
I have yet to not sell anything, no matter how ugly it is, in a day on the bazaar.

Yeah, naming of items can increase sales dramatically. Since most of mine are also biowear - a typical tag for me might be Medic (+50) Black Smock (Male Only) 4 socket. Well - it USED to be four sockets - that one still has me a bit miffed.
I list the bio bonus first then the color for easier sorting by alpha in the vendor window, the bonus usually being the thing folks in my shop are primarily interested in - presuming I can get back to playing that is - been gone a month.

I always include the color, simply because I hated going through clothes on vendors or the bazaar and having to click on all of them, only to find them purple or yellow or something I would never wear.

ive allways added colour and my name to all items, just seems common sense for when someone searches through my vendors

I've seen this when I occasionally forget to label the color on something and put it up for sale anyway...the stuff hangs around for weeks
And we're talking two or three items out of 100+

I used to do "Bright Blue formfitting undershirt" but then one day i started doing "formfitting undershirt - bright blue" Not sure why i changed, or if it makes a difference, but the first way grouped outfits (kinda) and the second way groups type of clothing (when you sort by name).
I've always put the color name on, it's just easier for me. (except when trying to type "Enhance camo/mask scent/melee/stun spec ops duster-maroon and gold" usually run out of room.

The reason I started putting the color is to make it easier to restock. kinda not fun to have to browse the vendor to know what color sold. Now if only the emails wouldn't eat the color parthalf the time /sigh.

Please ignore everything this guy says, it's all a lie... nothing to see here
*goes and puts "uniform boot - black" next to three unnamed uniform boots on the coronet bazar as always, at twice the price and watches them fly off the bazaar*

I'm a master tailor on Kauri
All my clothing is named by type and color. The only difficulty is wading through everything to find the items you need. I have everything on 6 vendors, but really wish I had 7 ( then I could separate casual and fieldwear)... sighhhhh.
