Jedi robe pics are in.... not sure if you guys have seen this yet...

Now that I've seen what they'll look like I feel kinda sad we wont have a part in crafting them
oh and for comedy value this is what swg will look like in a few months time

I like the look of that second picture. Really is a shame we don't get to help in crafting them, would be nice if we got some jedi-like items in that publish at least so you'd have to lookabit closer to tell if they were a jedi or not. Does sound a bit silly if all the jedi, who are supposed to be hiding, can be spotted so easily as they all wear outfits nobody else can.

Wow they did a really nice job on those. Has anyone heard why they won't be Tailor craftable? I'm assuming it's so Tailors don't reveal Jedi identities to people? I can just see the Master Tailor/Master Bounty Hunter combos

Well I think they denote rank, so ... meh I think it's just too much of a pain, I did ask for you though. They won't be colorable anyway (/snore). So I've switched to needling about those dang hooded cloaks ("well if you're not letting us craft the jedi stuff, we at least want hooded cloaks!!!")

that wookie just looks plain weird in those robes... lol but hey at least they get to wear 'em too bad they don't look like anything more than just a wook head cut and pasted on a human body *sigh* silly wookie, clothes are for races capable of speaking baisc only =P

I wonder if there are dark jedi versions of them? Those all sort of look like light jedi robes.
...and a krayt got onto naboo how?

about the krayt.. apparently there was a dev/csr in theed and he is the highest ranking jedi there will be under the new system. The pics I posted are possibly of him.. I can't remeber .. anyway he was dueling people and then hecongoured (sp?) uptwo krayts and a NS queen or something like that

Nope. Mostly because if the jedi looses rank these are *YOINKED* right back from the npc's. Taking away player crafted items like that would be a bad thing. There are other reasons to but yeah we won't be making them.

I can understand them not wanting them to be crafted by tailors, but I am kind of dissapointed that they keep adding clothing to the game and we almost never get to make it. It simply seems unfair. Maybe you can get them to add those hooded robes, though! They would be extremely popular and probably would keep their appeal for a long time (unlike the chef clothes which I never ever sell anymore). Maybe they could be fully colorable too so we could have colors like pink and blue instead of just dull leather colors.
By the way, did any of you who were at the fanfest get a sense of how rare they are expecting jedi to be? I know that the upper tier jedi are supposed to be extremely rare, but what about initiates and do beginner jedi get robes? If they are going to make it so that almost anyone can become a jedi, but it is hard to progress and they give them robes, then there might be some problems in the tailor economy in the future.

Greetings,
First, thank you for posting those pictures, the last one was especially nice. While I, too, can fully understand /why/ such clothing can not be crafted by tailors, I still feel a great sense of loss when looking at those. After all, just look at the detail that has gone into those particular items; even thebasic Padawan Jedi Robes was just incredible to look at. (What little chance I had to try it on last night.) I actually /felt/ like a Jedi, even more so than when I made a lightsaber and used ita fun duel against my husband's toon.
Clothing is such an integral part of the Star Wars universe, and essentially the reason I became a tailor to begin with way back when I first started in August. How many tailors, like myself, have worked so hard to make an outfit to look just like 'so and so' from the movies? Or, for that matter, been asked to make a 'Jedi' outfit?
The selection we have can come close, but it just isn't the same, and as can be seen by the fabulous detail and work gone into the Jedi Robes, I suppose it just wasn't meant to /be/ even similar. To me, that single fact just seems to be greatly disheartening. I do not mean for this to be a flame, the Jedi as a profession /needs/ to have such items, it is truly an achievement to gain the title and as one advances, the opportunity to not only gain more power, but 'neater' clothing is truly inspirational, or at least, it seems that way in my opinion.
I just wish we, as tailors, would gain the chance to create something along those lines, whether it be a hooded cloak (which seems will not happen for ages), to even maybe some of the truly /unique/ clothing found on Nightsisters. (I mean /wow/, in my opinion,those ladies have style! Then again, I've been trying tobring the Scout Jacket into style, so I can't say much for my sense of taste....)
I apologize for expressing my opinion, and rambling on - I just felt I needed to say something about this.
