Does durability or the resources used really matter in tailoring?

If so, does anyone know what we should be looking for in resources?

Okay and one really stupid question, but I saw somewhere that travel packs where supposed to increase your inventory by 50. Is that per pack or for only 1 pack? Because my inventory is full quite a bit, yet I have very little in it (its all in 1-2 bags)

Currently durability doesn't matter because there is no decay in clothing items... Hopefully that will change soon.

As for packs, they only increase your inventory if they are equipped. An equipped item does not count towards your item inventory total.
