Thread: Confessions of a Tailor(?)
Hello all,
I just wanted to confess that I'm a pot bellied, beer drinking, womanizing football fan IRL yet somehow I ended up being a Tailor in SWG? The kicker is I'm having a blast doing it too! None of my friends can believe I'm still doing the tailor thing but I have fun when somebody comes to me and asks me to make them "look cool" and I make them a whole outfit, sell it for 2k-4k and they go away happier than hell and I see them a few days later doing combat in their clothes (instead of armor, lol).
When I need maulers or brawlers "taken care of" around my store I have to beg friends to help me out because I'm a gimpy tailor. But so what? I like the business aspect of it. The way the different professions have to interact with each other and buy stuff from each other. And I'm liking the color co-ordination and just making stuff look snazzy. So, that is my confession and I'm going master tailor and nobodies going to convince me otherwise(?) LOL, too funny but hey, tailor is fun

Way to get in touch with your sensitive side man. I feel the same way I dont know how but I love being a tailor. I think all tailors should master some type of weapon though, what is cooler than someone who can kick butt but also has keen fashion sense. I realize that most of the players out there dont know fashion from a hole in the ground, Hello, there are other colors besides black!!! They all want to be mr. Ninja. These are probably the same guys that wear black socks with white tennis shoes and shorts, or are still stuck in the acid wash jean phase of the 80's.

I am not a tailor, but I am addicted to clothes. I have about 100 pieces of clothing, literally, and carry about 3 or 4 outfits on my character. If I had the spare skill points I'd definitely do it, but being a bounty hunter wouldn't allow me to master it, so that would be a waste.

Making armor, destroy missions, finding that better weapon, there's nothing more satisfying to this RPer than to be approached by a relatively new player (typically female, find my other comment about the Neo-clones) and having her ask "Can you make me look good?" I sell them the best dress I can (there's a forest green that goes great on a redhead) and craft them a color-coordinated ensemble using their preferences, or if they have none, I make them something unique. I did a red/purple ribbed shirt and pants the other day that looked like a wonderful jumpsuit when done. I plan on raising my available colors, alternating that with formal wear before I start the others.
