Thread: Looking for a master tailor on Radiant
Im looking for a master tailor with fair prices on radiant (none of that 15k bs!). If you have a shop or a vendor or something could you post your location, thanks 
There are, as far as I can tell, three master tailors on Naboo, but the only one I've visited will charge you that "15k bs." I assume the others will to.
If you can wait, in a couple weeks the number of masters will at least double. In a month there maybe enough masters that master items will start showing up in the bazaars. Once that happens, you'll start seeing items at prices you'll like.

Mistywinter is the only master tailor i know on Naboo.
What are the names of the others?
MistyWinter is a MT on Naboo, west of Keren, and her prices are reasonable. You get what you want then and there. Although sometimes, there are lines. She is WELL worth the wait.

I made Master Tailor yesterday morning.
I have been selling my good for 10K a master tailor item. That price may change but it will not go over 12.5.
I live near Bestine, in a very large house, I'm sure if you asked the dancers in the cantina there they could give you a wp to my shop, but fairly certain my vendor is sold out of the MT items atm. However, I will be on tonight after work crafting, around 8 pm central I'd imagine.

Calvin is coming up very closely and will probably be 4th.
A costumier isn't a Master Tailor, its a Formal Wear 4 person.

Well I'm not a master tailor yet and haven't decided completely about prices. But your assumptions are wrong. The outfit doesn't just take 10 minutes, it takes 10 minutes plus all the time people have invested into their characters to work them up to the point where they can create such high level items. And items also take far more than 0 credits to make when you consider harvester, house, vendor, and factory maintainance. Oh, and master level players (especially the first few on each server) have probably spent huge amounts of credits on training as well, high level artisan professions can't usually just yell in the streets and find someone to teach them.
There are several other factors as well. Right now, clothing isn't decaying. At all. So as far as we know, once someone buys a master item, it may never need repair or replacing. Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths are guaranteed of eventual repeat businessonce a players favorite weapons or armor start to wear out. But once a character has a full wardrobe for now, they may never need another unless they want items in different colors. So I can't blame some players for raising their prices a little since their items last forever.
The first few masters of most crafting professions will be able to name their own prices for items only they can provide. After more people reach Master level, the prices will fall sharply from folks undercutting each other in an attempt to compete, and awhile after that prices may stabalize a little.
Plus, as any good merchant knows, the value of an item is what someone will pay for it. I think it's funny that high level tailors are sometimes accused of "greed" by those who either can't afford or don't want to pay for their goods. A high level piece of clothing shouldn't be seen asthat much different thanproducts by other Master Crafters.New characters shouldn't be able to afford Master level clothing their first days or weeks intothe game. It's supposed to be a status symbol and an achievement. Someone wearinghigh levelclothing has reached the point in their careers where they can afford to spend their money looking good instead of buying weapons or armor, or spending all their credits on maintaining harvesters.
So to answer your question, Master Tailors charge more because they're worth more. Right now, they're the best of our profession, they have the hottest styles in the best colors. The player economy works both ways. If you think they charge too much then don't buy from them. Wait afew weeks and more Masters will probably bring the prices down. If you don't think the clothes are worth that much, then just don't buy them.

Thank you Kara for explaining that so well. People really don't understand the time, money and effort put into being a high level crafter.
As for being a Master Tailor, I'm working hard at it, but it'll be a while at my current rate.
