Thread: New Tailor Shop
I am opening my first Tailoring shop and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or tips on creating and managing your own tailor shop. If anyone has a nice tailoring shop on Bria that I can look at I am trying to get an idea on what I should do with my tailoring shop.
Thanks
They can get a better look at an item that is standing near the wall then in the inventory. And if they like they can even stand 'Inside' the clothes there so they can see what it would look like on them.
This is also good to do for when your making clothes specific for a person. You can drop them in your house so they can tell you if they like it without actually giving them the product yet.
And if you have a big enough house, dont forget about the other furnishings. A tree here, and a plant there can really liven the place up.
On putting out samples... do you just drop them in your shop?
Can't others just take them?? If it's a public shop, what can/can't they do??
I'm just starting novice tailor myself, but I have a small client base at least (armor smiths wants synth cloth by the crate).
Even if you have your shop declared as public, no one can pick up or drop things. So drop whatever you want, including Travel Packs full of Ribbed Shirts.
One thing that someone else mentioned earlier that has worked well for me is using Bone Armor Segments as signs. If you name one something like "Custom Outfits are Available -- E-mail Krevix", and drop it in your store, it acts like a sign.
Also, when you get your NPC vendor, drop a chest in front of them and turn it around backwards -- it makes for a nice shop counter.
Great idea.. I'll try that right away.
Thanks for the info on the shop. I just got it constructed yesterday, and I'm looking to get started.
