Read a few posts where people said clothes do not decay, I had a tell from a friend asked me if I could repair clothes, said uhh, yea I think so. They come to me, I examine the 2 items, short pants, and each had duration of about 450/1000. I fired up the clothing repair kit and fixed each of them.

One item was now 900/900 taking 100 pts perma dmg, the other was 950/1000. My clothing repair tool now has 3 uses left instead of 5 appearantly. Since was a rl friend and we dont charge each other for services there was no fee. Started wondering how much people are charging to repair items? Flat rate all repairs? Scaled rate depending on item level tier?

I think for level 4 and Master Tailor items I will charge 1 creditper each point repaired, so the above example would cost the guy like 450 credits each piece, a fair price on a 10K clothing item. For level 2 and lower items probably just a flat 50 credit rate, anything higher and they may as well buy a new one, anything less isnt worth the time taken away from crafting.

I'll bet my entire ingame bank account that those two items were looted and notcrafted.

They would have been at 450/1000 when hegot them, and would stay that way forever or until decay is implemented, whichever comes first

Well it's likely that both those items were looted. Did you examine them? If they're looted they'd have no "creator" listed. Looted items are regularly decayed about that much when they drop. But no item that I've crafted so far has decayed one bit since day one. I've been examining my clothes every few days in hopes that it was turned on, but no luck so far.

I haven't decided yet how I'm going to charge for repairing clothing, since right now there's no need to do it. If you hadn't repaired those items, they would have stayed at 450/1000 condition forever until decay gets turned on.

Hmm, guess that explains that, I'll doublecheck with him tonight and examine the item.

By the way if you have clothing repair kit on a hotbar and open it, it will scan your inventory and list all items that can be repaired for you to pick, or just say nothing in your inventory needs repaired. Fast way to examine your whole inventory instead of piece by piece, if dont mid lugging around a nearly useless item in your backpack.

Hope clothing decay is implemented soon then.
