I'm looking forward to becoming a Tailor but have a few questions. Does anyone know if there's a FAQ around concerning the Tailor trade? I couldn't find one, so here I am asking other Tailors some probably very easy questions:

  1. I'm in Mos Eisley in Tatooine and noticed that I am extremely limited in colors of the simple clothes I'm making....all earthy tones ranging from light tans/ecrus to dark browns. Is there a way to get other colors? Would going off planet...say to Naboo and using their resources give me other color options?

  2. As for styles, same question. Would going to another planet give me some other styles of clothes? Or am I naive in the assumption that residents of Tatooine dress in the same style as every other inhabitant in the galaxy

I've just got my Domestic Arts 1 skill, so I'm still in the very early stages of learning how to Tailor. I just want to know what my limits are going to be and what I might be able to do.

Thanks much.

I'm not totally sure what the market's like at this point, but my experience is that making a living Domestic Arts is really rough at the start, but gets a lot better as you go on. Once you hit Domestic Arts III, you're at the point where you can make some fairly attractive stuff in reasonably nice colors, and sell them for a decent price. Before that, it can be pretty hard slogging - not insurmountable, but hard.

As your skill in domestic arts increases so do your color choices and selection of what you can make. Once you make master tailor you'll have 200 colors available.

All planets offer the same colors and schematics in regards to clothes.
