I'm not a tailor but I think this would be a cool piece for you to make.

A Rank Jacket (imperial and rebel version)

It has the appropriate style crestand displays the current rank of the person wearing it.

It shows bars or stripes or stars along the sleeve or collar or chest. The higher your rank the more bars, etc.

It would feed into the desire to display status, and I think would be a big seller.

I second that suggestion. Not sure how feasible it is, but its a great idea.

I don't see how it would be a problem. They could even make it a schematic reward you buy with Faction Points. I personally think it would be really nifty!
