Thread: Getting sick of the dissapearing shop routine
Several objects, including houses, factories, harvesters, etc., can take 30 minutes or more to actually load in game. Back in the old days (about a month ago), I used to have the energy to log on right when the serers came up in the morning to reinitialize planetary advertising/ad barking, and my house would sometimes take a while to load. The first time I was unbelievably furious, then I got used to it. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which houses load first, so it can be really scary when your house is the last in the region to load.
On a completely different note, your vendor has inspired me Nofi
I recently set up a new vendor in my PA's Hall, and I'm working on getting 600 items in there. Of course, they should start expiring in a few days, so I might come hunting for your head then ![]()
I figured it was something about the server loading, just has been annoying me and will probably make me nervous each time it happens =)
About my vendor... I went crazy the first few weeks for my vendor until a friend gave me a great idea. He told me to choose a day and relist everything on that day. So now every wed i sit for 4 hours and relist everything. Even if the item isn't suppose to expire that day, I remove it from sale and relist it so that I only get spammed that day with emails and then i'm done for a whole week. I curse the game and practically spit at all my friends who bug me during those 4 hours but it has made my game experience much nicer as well as letting me stay mostly sane with that many items for sale.
So, if you are going to do a big vendor.. I recommend that method. (and now you can't hunt for my head because I gave a solution "wink" )
Sounds like a good method. Right now, I hop online for an hour each day just to restock items that have sold, so doing a few items a day might work for me. If not, I'll give your method a try. ![]()
I spent 6 hours putting everything back on sale two days ago (1000 items or so). I'm going to start doing at as well before I end up totally crazy.
I keep bumping the threads on the merchant forum hoping someone will actually try to do something about it, no luck so far...
