So I hear the best thing for a travelling tailor is a droid with a crafting station in it. So I take the time and money to get one ordered and got a great little R2 unit.

Nopw when I craft with the Droid out, there are no extended scematics and no options to make a schematic or prototype.

I did a search and found older threads stateing that it was bugged and some newer, but not recent, threads stateing that it was fixed.

What is the most current word, any one else recently purchace a droid with this modual and haveing problems. Is it just broke again? Is there a fix I need to do or a set of tasks to make it work right?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Few more quick questions:

How can you check to see what the droid has installed?

Is there any additional radial menu options that pop up when the clothing station is intstalled?

They do indeed work. I've had 2 different droids, an MSE and a 3P0, both with crafting stations that work great. Sometimes when you pull the droid out, it walks away a bit. Maybe make sure you get close, then starting your crafting session. And, of course, it could be that your droid doesn't have the correct module, for whatever reason.

For your second question, I couldn't see anything on either of my droids that indicated what modules were installed, including the crafting station module.

Sometimes you have to stand inside your droid for it to work.

After that you can stand nearby.

The main bug, is each droid can only have 1 crafting station in it... if you have 2, one will work, and the other won't.

I have a feeling this is related to a bug I've noticed, where crafting stations don't share space very well. One tends to overwrite the other.

Not to be the pessimist, but I think maybe your Droid isn't exactly what you asked for. I've owned many a droid with crafting stations. Structure, Clothing, Food/Chemical, Weapon and i've never had a single instance of the Crafting Station not functioning.

Well I sent and email to my Droid Engineer to ask if he was sure that he put it in... I'll find out later tonight I guess...

Maybe I'll buy a new one

My little gonk, FashionVictim, has always worked just fine. For some reason power droids aren't that popular so he always gets a reaction.

A friend did buy a crafting droid that wasn't working properly, but it turns out that thedroid engineerhad misnamed the droid with the wrong type of crafting station. And then for some reason the DE refused to exchange it, which was totally not cool.

Good luck getting it working!

power droids aren't that popular because they require a power core, which is a pain in the ass to make

of course I think everything an architect makes is a pain in the ass to make...and I'd drop it if I didn't need to build myself 30 heavy harvesters

Maybe it's just needs to be recharged ?

Try getting A droid battery and use the recharge option on the radial menu.

Sounds like you've seriously been swindled by a newbie droid engineer. I've had a total of 4 different droids with various crafting stations in the (like others have said, only 1 per droid) and they have all worked marvellously. I can't even conceive of not having 2 droids now.

Incedentally, if you do order a new droid, you might seriously consider getting an item storage module added too. If you go to a sufficiently skilled droid engineer they can add a storage module which gives you about 10 extra storage slots. This is awesome, because I can keep "spare" crates of synth cloth, metal fasteners, etc. in there "for emergencies" (which seem to always arise) lol. It has proven to be a life-saver many times!

Same thing happens with my Treadwell, Stitch. Someone came up and asked me if it was a new droid as they had never actually seen one before

I've had him for 3 weeks and not a single problem. I was very pleased that he functions as a private crafting station, now I can make anything no matter where I am!
