Tried a search and didn't find anything. Does anybody know what if anything determines which profession you get on the apron when you learn the schematic?? Or was I just unlucky enough to get TWO schematics (one I got from the Jabba Quest... the 2nd one I bought) for the Tailor Apron??

Just unlucky—it's entirely random.

It's random, the tailor one seems the most common of course, but it's mostly because lots of tailors just resell theirs I would guess.

I wish we had a way to tell, because rebuying 3 times the tailor one hoping for the chef or medic one, when most likely it's just tailors reselling the ones they already have and will never use isn't leading anywhere...

So far I have had one medic and one chef (which I still have 2 uses left on that schematic.) with two unlearned ones still in the que.

*hangs head in shame* Okay, I'm going to have to be entirely n00b-ish for a moment..

I have a schem for an apron, and have pieces of leather with identical serials but they won't stack - not in my inventory, and not when trying to craft. At one point I had the bright idea of trying it with a factory, but then realized I had to make the schematic in the first place Any help would be sorely appreciated.

leather with identical serials will generally (well, everytime I've done it) stack in the crafting tool just fine. Just be absolutely sure that the two you are putting in have identical serials and you'll be fine. If they really truly are the same and really truly don't stack, then /bug it.

They don't stack in inventory though, as there is no way to "re-crate" any identical components in the game. The same is true of synthetic cloths, metal fasteners, etc.

They won't stack in your inventory though (I've never seen them stack there) but will in the schematic when your tool is open.

I was wondering if it would be possible to insert this schem into a factory to mass produce these aprons. I'm still fairly new at this so forgive me if I asked a foolish question.

Assuming you have enough serial-matching heavy duty leathers, yes.
