Because Kiatra was asking about dark/navy blue, deep red and deep purple, I've decided to share my colour/numbering system.
This is what I use on the main pallette, numbers going left to right, 1 to 255. Some of the colours may look a bit 'off' depending on your graphics/screen settings and which interface colour you are using, but so far I've had no complaints from my customers

Baby Blue = 113
Baby Pink = 211
Black = 7
Blue = 242
Brown = 180
Burgandy = 133
Deep Brown = 182
Deep Purple = 252
Deep Red = 175
Dk Blue = 161
Dk Brown = 140
Dk Gold = 231
Dk Green = 154
Dk Grey = 6
Dk Pink = 214
Dk Purple = 126
Forest Green = 238
Gold = 229
Green = 235
Lilac = 246
Lt Blue = 239
Lt Brown = 117
Lt Grey = 3
Lt Orange = 219
Lt Pink = 212
Mint = 232
Orange = 255
Pale Yellow = 225
Pink = 213
Purple = 253
Red = 254
Royal Blue = 245
Silver = 29
White = 43

I started with only 30 'main' colours but have slowly added more to give my regular customers something to look forward to.

Sorry, there is a typo in my list. Dk Purple should be 168. Sorry about that.

I realise this was directed at Kiatra, but I'd like to share the method of labeling I've come up with and get some feedback.

The main problem I wanted to overcome was my expanding color palettes, because at the moment I'm only Novice. I wanted the clothes I make and label now to still work with later, larger palettes. This is what I came up with, for the simple 255 color palette:

Each color is represented in 7 different shades. Each 7 shade segment is assigned a number by counting off the segments left to right, and the colors within those segments are 1-7, with 7 being the darkest. So for example, two shades darker than the darkest in the "maroon" segnent would be 2-5. The extra colors get added on at the end of the list, so any labels I make now still apply to the later palettes. I haven't come up with anything for the additional palettes, but I think the same thing will work, maybe with a bit of modification. The single colors (purple, red and orange) will be something like S1, S2 and S3, but thats a long ways off for me.

Comments? Questions? Criticism?

This is also my first post in the tailor forum, so hi everyone!

I recently mastered tailor on my alt. I just wish the pallettes were presented in a more organized manner. For instanceI've run across the full pallette in 2 different versions. It's been very confusing/frustrating trying to come up with a labeling system that allows people to match their clothes. I would rather only view 1 pallette, and have the colors that can't be used for specific itemsdarkened. (Kind of like how id's that can't change colors yet can still view them.)
