I enjoy being a tailor. I enjoy making people look good. I sold most of my items through my shop (now closed) and through the bazaar. I sometimes shy away from custom orders because I'm color blind. A customer ask for brown or green and I'm like.......ok!? What I would like is to find a site that has a print out of every color palette as well as assigning a color to each color, or at least something like G14-G16 = green. Something like that.
Needful things is nice as they list out all the color palettes, but alas no color label.
Of course, the devs could fix this by just assigning a name or even the RGB value of each color as a mouseover when you're crafting. But that would be too easy.

Hmm, i didnt realise there were so many of us colour blind tailors. maybe we could push the devs from the angle of this being descrimination against people with disabilities
and demand they number the colours in the interface

what i also noticed is the colors between 2 computers are different. for i jump between one of my 2 comps, and when i make cloths in what "looks correct" color wise, then i log in on the other computer, the clothings color is different

Likely that has to do with monitor color settings, but it could also be software, either video card or SWG itself. To be honest, I've been eyeing this sweet hardware color calibration system…but do I really want to spend a few hundred dollars just to make sure that I'm tailoring in the right colors? Nah…

Same problem when I try to craft padded armor. And I thought that was blue... not purple...

As a color blind (blue/purple) ID working on Tailor, I think the devs really need to put numbers and standardized palettes!
Although, being an ID has somewhat helped me to bea bit less colorblind...
That is all.

I use the webpage to figure out what I can bio-enhance and plan outfits Each item shows the color palette that goes along with it. Maybe you can assign numbers to the colors, make a webpage, then tell your customers to look at the webpage and make their order....it'd probably make things really efficient in terms of giving the customer exactly what they want.
