I think that if you fling them to the ground hard enough, they magically snap into the visual spectrum. Scientists are still trying to understand this phenomena. Some type of side of effect of Einstein's theory of relativity is suspected.

You mean, if you drop them on te floor it works? Wow, should've known that earlier. Going to test if i see them in crafting window. Thanks Sir Dent

I haven't heard about the necklaces, but I swear I mention them at least once a week to the Devs. I even bugged them about it at Fanfest. I put subliminal messages in many of myotherposts like this:

Yes, if you drop a necklace in a structure then it can be examined. If you then pick it up from a structure you can not only see its icon in your inventory, but you can also examine it from your inventory. This nifty little trick has been around for a while. You can also usually see a necklace from the bottom side looking up when you craft it by rotating the view angle upwards as if you're positioning the camera at someone's toes looking up toward their neck. This can be helpful sometimes in trying to figure out at least which of two colors is for the chain of the necklace.
