I got excited when I saw I had reached the ability to craft "multipocket belts" and "two-pocket belts". I made one of each and tried them on, and they seemed more like life preserver flotation rings than belts. The belts were actually cutting through my hands and arms when they hung down straight at the sides of my hips and just looked ridiculous. My character is of 'average build'.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah noticed this last night when I gave a belt to this hot little dancing number I know. It didn't even touch her. However, my belt fits me just fine...but I'm a rather bigwookiee

It's not just belts.

I'm wearing a formal shirt under a Casual Jacket. The shirt collar pokes THOUGH the jacket. Gonna have to make a switch soon.

A weighted wookie hood has problems when worn w/ a weighted wookie vest. The collide and poke through one another.

Yeah, I've seen that sort of thing, but I think the belts are a more unusual case. In my experience, they seem to look especially "wrong" on females, but better on males. One odd thing I noticed yesterday when idly trying on stuff is that the multipocket belt looked awful on me if I was wearing a jacket (the "life preserver" look), but not too bad *without* a jacket.

I figured out the problem last night; it's actually a layering issue. Belts look just fine on females as long as you're not wearing a jacket. The problem is that the layering order for clothing places belts on top of all jackets, most likely because of longer jackets. This is why a female wearing a jacket and a belt will look like she's wearing some sort of strange floatation device. There should be a way to get the game to put the belt under the jacket instead of over it.

Yes, I've noticed this as well, the belts look too big on me usually, but the actual scale seems to depend on what I'm wearing beneath it. I bugged this several times in beta. Also, necklaces always float a little above your neck. It's not that noticable with the thick ones, but thin chains like on the Emerald Pendant just look silly.

I can see why they might have belts layer on top of jackets, but for that 'look' towork properly the belt would have to stay roughly the same size (as when you're not wearing a jacket) and the jacket would have to pinch in against the body underneath the belt (instead of the jacket staying at it's normal puffed look).

Since that isn't possible, belts should really layer underneath jackets. You can still see them through the front opening of the jacket (which is actually the look I was expecting).

Ammo bandoliers are even worse...it looked like one of the rings of Saturn floating around me!

There is hope however: The "Small pocket belt" from Field gear II seems to fit correctly, so it is possible to wear a belt and not look like a character out of The Jetsons.

I had the same problem. (The life preserver look...) so I switched over to a black two-pocket belt and it looks much better. The two-pocket is probably still "hovering" above my jacket, but it's harder to tell because they're similar colors and without the pockets all along the back it's basically just a strip of leather.

All of the multi-pocket belts I've made since then have been white, as the storm troopers seem to really like them. Next time you're talking with an imp, try to pitch them a belt. If you remember from the movies, the troopers had those big beltsa round their wastes, and a white-multi pocket completes the look for the overts who just *have* to run around in armor.
