Thread: How do I make bags?

I recently saw a post that explained a method to let customers try on clothing by placing them in tradable bags. I'm a tailor-in-training almost at DomArts4 and I don't know how to make these bags everyone talks about. Are they a tailoring item? Or are they from another artisan tree?

Actually, we were talking more about things like Satchels, I believe. Those bags that are ordinarily pretty useless, because they don't actually increase inventory space, but just provide a different way of sorting your inventory. The "tailoring demo" is about the only way I can see that sort of bag having any practical utility.

Still not sure where those get made - the only one I ever had in Beta was looted....

Tailor Field Wear I can make Cargo Pockets but they can't be opened or used to hold anything. They are just a component in packs.

Maybe they just got rid of all the stuff like satchels (except cargo pockets) after Beta? It'd make sense - the things were darn near useless for any purpose I could think of....

Yes, -looted- cargo pockets (and satchels) can be opened.. but -tailored- cargo pockets can't be.

Looted a satchel and a cargo pocket both last night when skilling up my pistol skills on a nomad chief who just happens to spawn the my backyard at my house. They seem to be reducing inventory again. Each item I put in them dropped my inventory total by one. Perhaps they rethought this after they got the data base working better. So they are still dropping.

Satchels, cargo pockets, and unequipped packs may -look- like they are reducing your inventory, but in fact they aren't. Even if it says you are at 40/60, you will not be able to hold more if you have a bag with 20 items in it. You need to add the number in the bag with the number showing as inventory to find how full you really are.
