I'm estatic tonight because I just got to Novice Tailor. I crafted numerous different pieces of clothing with matching colors and such, placed a few in my shop, and then went to the town bizaar. What do I see there? Tailor level THREE and FOUR items being sold for 30 creds because some shmo looted it off a corpse(The clothing is damaged). How am I supposed to compete with that? It's ridiculous through and through ESPECIALLY since I heard that clothing doesn't deteriorate yet. I thought the best items in the game are supposed to be PLAYER made, not LOOT items.

IMHO

tailors were never meant to sell on the bazaar all of our stuff cna be custom made to the person.

no what's really annoying are PA funded players that are selling travel packs for 300 creds

heck in beta whenever I tried to sell something there was a girl near by that would always go

HA 500 credits for that?! I'm charging 10

no matter what I constantly had to deal with her she even admited that she had an entire PA just giving her resources out the hooha

there is no rule against that but well from beta test I learned our economy is not bad cause of teh president

3 days into testing the player run economy the entire lands were stripmined money had no value and corporations seized control and ran small timers out of buisness

you don't have to worry about taht bazaar thing sure they may sell but you'll get more money then that player will cause people will place custom orders...if you do it right.

Novice Tailor with FW2 here...

I just find it frustrating to have to tell a customer that, no, i CAN'T make him a bright red jacket yet; because of the color palette limitations.

Or having a customer want a "forest green" shirt. WTH is forest green? I tried three times, and it turned out to be the bright nasty yellow-green was what he wanted. rofl.

Or telling a customer, ok, this is a nice red-brown, and he says it looks just brown on his monitor.

Or the wookie clothing, of which half of them STILL have bugged color palettes that show up with a different color than what's visible on the selector. Try to find a color, and then try to find it AGAIN when he likes it and wants something matching...

Or seeing all the looted clothing on the bazaar, that will take me quite a while to get up to. =(

There is a way you can compete when the same items are dropped off mobs.

It takes us only a few minutes to put together these items, whereas the drops on the mobs are not guaranteed and are pretty much random. So what you are in competition with is the average random drop, which is/should be much lower than the demand for the product.

I sell 100% of my items, yes, even the ones that drop off mobs. People still buy my stuff. I keep hearing people complain about this but I have yet to see a problem with it. I mean, if someone bought one of your items, and resold it down the line later for a cheaper price, would you complain about that?

Competition is competition, and you will get it from other artitisians/tailors as well as resellers. Thats just how the economy works, everywhere. Another tip. I dont overprice my items, so maybe thats why they sell.

Anyway, thats my piece Have fun

Competition with other artisans is fair, as is competiton with actual characters who buy your goods, mark them up, and sell them. But in a player economy we should not have to be competing with mobs for business.

Sinloi, your comment does not make sense. The bazaar is basically the internet. Are you suggesting things shouldn't be sold via the internet?
