Thread: So why merchant?
I am typically running out of points to spend but I still have a few to spare once I get rid of my scout hunting skills (can't get rid of the exploring line yet though, mark scent is soooo sweet when your harvester is in the middle of a very red pack of animals
).
I got novice merchant, and I have enough experience to get another skill but... why? There is nothing that seems really attractive to me in the merchant line, maybe I am just minsinformed though, so what do you think? What skills are useful to a tailor, and to what extend?
i would say vocalization 1 cause u can get ur vender to say something like "For Custom orders, contact ______" or something like that
I have fallen in love with having multiple vendors. I get lots of positive feedback from my customers that finding stuff is so much easier in my shop.
Right now I have 5 vendors .... and would never think of going with less. One for formal wear (and some casual) ... one for field wear ... one for wookie only items ... one for master tailor items (some people only want master items
) ... one for cloaks, packs, jewelry and accessaries.
This also helps avoid the problem of customers not knowing to hit the next page of items for sale.
Finally ... it makes it real fast and easy to check stock and replace it when broken down like this.
The custom greetings from your vendors is advertising II. Advertising I only has your vendor say a very general greeting, which is pretty much useless.
If you can only pick one, I'd say management I. It's very nice and helpful to have multiple vendors. I have one for formal/casual, another for field/military andanother for custom orders.
