Thread: Tailoring Catalog

The biggest problem I've come across is people asking me what I can make, and in what colors. Though I'm sure this wouldn't have high priority, would there be anyway to create something like a catalog that tailors can email prospective clients? It could just be a link to our data schematics, or the tailor can choose certain data schematics to add to a file that can be emailed. If customers could pick certain clothing items and colors out of a book, then email a tailor with their requests, the tailoring community would see a huge upswing in business.

For instance, if my customer wants some kind of cloak or duster, I could choose the couple of schematics I think he'd be interested in, and my color palette, and email this to them. They choose what they want and email me back. Just an idea. :-)

It is a really great idea, if not this something like it would make life much easier for us all. Tailor and customer alike!

It is kind of funny really, we live in an age where you can travel to the far reaches of the Galaxy in 10 minutes or less, but you can't run a power cord from your wind generator to your Fiberplast harvester.... and we can't put together a JC Penny style catalogue for the life of us.

If I had more free time on my hands, I'd go through and take screen caps of every item in the customization phase and post them somewhere, but that'd take days. /sigh

My Idea about this - is to let the customer click on the tailor station - Theyd get another option to "view" then pop up the colorizing window so they could see the same thing you see. It might be easier to code in as the window is already "there" - Orrey

I plan on starting this tomorrow. I don't work on Monday or wednesday and since they put in these artisan missions, i find it is much more time efficent to buy resources than gahter my own so I should have some spare time.

True, but it's not so handy when you're actually in game. Most people IMO won't want to alt-tab out and look over a website.

What would *really* fix this is if schematics could be viewed from the Skills screen. You know... where you click on a skill box and it shows you the name of every schematic you could make if you had that skill? Being able to right-click on an item in that list and get the schematic overview (like you get in the data pad) would be great! That could also help guide our career progression if we could see what we could make at various skill levels.

If the same thing could be done to display available color palettes at each Tailoring level, that would also be great.
