Hello!

I've been playing SWG for about three months now. When I first started I thought it would be fun to become an Armorsmith, or Weaponsmith so I frantically started working up the Artisan tree. While going through the Artisan tree I changed my mind and started working on fighting skills. Not sure which fighting skills I wanted to work so I kind of dabbled in a few and before I knew it I was ready to become a Master Marksman at this point I decided to become a Bounty Hunter so I started working on the Scout tree. After about a month of playing I had become a Master Marksman and a Master Scout, turned Novice Bounty Hunter. I quickly worked my way up the BH skills tree (Left the Investigation tree for the last) and became an 'Expert Bounty Hunter'. While going through these skills I was harvesting hide and bone for various people and had a pretty good income coming in. Then it came time for the investigation tree. This was going slow and I was getting bored so I started exploring. Met a friendly Doctor who just totally loves clothes (She has SEVERAL houses filled with nothing but clothes) one morning I was asked to join a group going to the Corvette so me and my Doctor friend joined the group and went. The first time was not a successful mission, I was kind of bummed but I was immediately asked to go again. So I got healed up and then jumped into the Corvette again. This time we were successful and I had the schematic for the new speeder. I knew I would need to get power generator in order to have a complete speeder but looking at the schematic I was disappointed to see that only a Master Artisan could craft the vehicle. Then I got to thinking how close I was before to becoming a master artisan and how I had to drop a few skills to re-gain the Skill Points to get to where I am as a Bounty Hunter.

Looking at my Artisan skills I noticed that I had built up quite a bit of crafting experience I guess from making traps and tents for myself and others to complete the Scout tree.

That night I was in my Doctors neighborhood and looking at her houses with lots of clothing, clearly this lady loooves clothes. I was oogling over her holocrons she proudly had displayed in her house and she offered one to me as a gift.

Reluctantly I accepted the gift, in exchange I gave her the speeder schematic I figured I didn't have a use for it and figured I'd be able to get another one at some point in time.

Torn with what to do with the Holocron I finally deceided to open it, and low and behold it said I needed to become a Master Tailor.

How fitting was this, the holocron was given to me by a person that just loooves clothes, and earlier that day I was disappointed that only a Master Artisan could only craft the Speeder.

The more I thought about this the more excited I became and I immediately started gathering resources so I could complete the Artisan tree.

I have decided to go Holocron Hunting with my Bounty Hunter and I currently have enough Crafting Experience to become a Master Artisan and a Novice Tailor.

I have purchased a driod with the clothing crafting tool in it. Personal Crafting devices as well as some medium harvesters to gather the resources I will need. I have also gathered two additional holocrons. I haven't decided if I am going to pursue the path of a Jedi as being a Tailor seems like it will be a lot of fun but I want to have the holocrons just in case after all they make good decorations

I will miss fighting critters, and I imagine it would be beneficial for me to keep at least enough Scouting skills to harvest hide and bone and such.

I have not dropped my BH skills yet, but I will be doing so soon.

I was wondering what the fighting the profession Master Tailors go with? I would still like to be ableto go out and fight from time to time.

Well, according to the calculator you could be:

Artisan 0/4/3/4 (Domestic, Business for vendor, Survey)

Marksman 4/0/0/4 (or whatever weapon you want - carbine, pistol, rifle)

Master Tailor

Scout 0/0/4/0 (for harvesting)

Master Rifleman (or Pistol or Carbine)

I was pistol until I dropped it for Master Artisan and Master Chef

So, essentially, whatever weapon suits your play style.

If you went a Master hand to hand (like TKA), you'd have 14 more skill points to play with.

I love that story!! I really do!! Before I became completely crafting oriented with this char... this was my template:

** Master Tailor // 0.4.4.0- Artisan // 0.0.0.3- Merchant // 0.4.0.0- Marksman // 2.4.0.0- Medic // 4.0.4.0- Scout // 0.0.4.0- Pistoleer **

Ok with that I obviously got my Master Tailor, was able to keep 3 or 4 vendors.. (do not remember atm)... Had weapons certs for FWG5 and now the Republic Blaster with some decent specials.. Had good terrain negotiation ( I hate to walk slow).. could mask scent!... really decent resource gathering (hides and stuff).. and if I needed too, I could heal all my own wounds and damage at a faster than just basic rate and a bit better than your novice medic...just stop at the cantina for my BF.

**Scratches chin** Now why did I change this? LOL.

Hope that helps.
