Thread: In protest & in mourning everything I sew will be black from now on

I'm afraid its not much of a protest. It just makes me unhappy and most of my customers very happy, so it doesn't get any message across. Now if you decided to make everything in pink....

I remember when I was a tailor, in the far distant past. I had finally become a master, with a whole palette of colors from which to choose. And everyone wanted their clothes in black. Conformists.

while i sell a lot of black, i would say my sales on either my bright colour vendor, or pastel vendor far far outweigh my dark colours vendor (however id say 80 % of my customers are entertainers or females with fashion sense)

Everything my tailor sews will be black from now on. I hope you will consider doing the same.


Of course the change to all black is almost a necessity as in order to get four sockets, I'll need to make factory runs, but I also see the decision as a way to mourn a profession I consider ruined. In addition, it makes a nice protest. If everyone had to wear black, perhaps enough voices would rise in unison to let the developers realize this socket nerf was not the right thing to do.

LOL.. Actually, when I was still bothering to make clothes, colors were a big thing for me.. But, I had a lot of entertainer customers, and people knew me for my color options.. Black sold a lot, but not as much as colors for me..

I think im going to be mean. I will just tack on extra cost for everything that comes out with 4 sockets. Then everybody else can protest =D

not everyone goes for black all the time, i cant deny i want some items in black (exotic leotard for my dancer(very light skin +very dark garment=nice contrast))
but its not just blakc im after, my dancer has some nice cloths in red a yellow/green dress and a nice white dress (doesnt look that godo due to skin tone so i dont really wear it much anymore)


and even armour smiths can use colours other than black, yes evne a melee character will wear non black armour

I wish it was that way for me. For some reason I was never able to break into the entertainer market at all. I think my prices are just too high. Most of the time people have been able to find things like fleshwraps on the bazaar for 2K each. It has been that way practically as far back as I can remember.

theres only 1 problem with trying to break into the entertainer market, a pure entertainer is compleatly reliant onthe generosity of others for their finances (or to put things another way a pure entertainer is almost always broke) my dancers total income so far is approx 40k and comes fomr the following sources


20k form a very kind entertainer/tkm i got talking with whiel most fot he dancers were afk (she reached tkm didnt knwo waht to do so grabbed a holo to decide for her (as far as im aware shes not hologrinding)



10k from a very generous patron (spend about 30-60 mins in the cantina wathcing various dancers so was ther for a show rather than healing as most are)


10k in various tips (smallest 100, largest 1000)


typical night earnings seem to be 0-3000 (this is for 3+hours dancing, and i dont afk/macro im actually there and actuallnig doing it myself)


so ironically the one profession who are likely to be a good market for all your best and most extravagant garment s are also the one group who cna least afford your top of the line items (my scout/ch/tk and as much clothing as my dancer atm)
