Thread: How Appropriate

After a couple months of searching, I finally got a Tailor's Crafting Apron schematic. (I know they're not useful, but I wanted to make one for myself.)

So I dig up a pair of Leathers, head into the crafting center with my +15 tools and +44.whatever crafting station, paste together a Dagger from some scrap metal laying around my pack, go to craft the Apron, and have my first Tailoring crit fail in weeks.

At least it worked the second time. One use left!

I seem to rarely crit fail things, id say 1-2 per day and i make around 100 items of clothing per day, maybe im lucky but it so far has never landed on a special schematic item, but im sure it will sooner or later

Ouch. Yah. I've been lucky and never failed on a reward schem. But I am also +11 in assembly and experimentation, and I never use those schems unless I take some +14 pyollian cake first. Doesn't do diddly for sockets, but I've never crit failed on an assembly since using it. I've read some say pyollian cake doesn't work, but... it seems to?

On the other hand, I can be assured, if Iam restockingRobes of Honor or Artisan level items (?!?!), I will crit fail frequently. It's very weird. I threaten my droid with a full circuits lobotomy if he keeps it up. Maybe I should dismantle him and look for the Gremlin.

I cab't even remember my last critical failure on anything. Since the fix, a couple of months ago, of the too many critical failures, it goes perfectly.

It could also have something to do that i have a +idontknowhowmuchto Clothing Assembly (Which prevents CF's).

If I'm not mistaken, on crafter's aprons, if you have a critical failure, you should only loose the resources you put into it not the uses. I failed twice in a row on the weaponsmith belt and I didn't loose the uses.

It depends, sometime you just loose resources and sometimes you loose a use as well. It's one of the bugs that, least from my experiences, is failry uncommon these days but still happens now and again.

Only thing you can do is /bug it every time it happens and hope the devs take notice sometime. After all if they're going to add more in the future, we don't want them but if added properly I think they will work right, then this is a bug that needs to be dealt with.

I had 2 criticals yesterday;

The first was on a weaponsmiths toolset, only lost the resources

the second was on the tailors apron, lost the resources and a use.

I don't think I ever Crit Failed on a limited use schematic, probably because I am in a research center, 44.4+ Station, +15 tool, plus Pyollian Cake (Increase assembly roll on next craft attempt. AKA Helps to not critical fail)

My worst critical fail was on a Av-21 Landspeeder... Lost a AV-21 Power Plant After that, Pyollian Cake with everything that I need to not crit fail lol

I think I've lost schematic uses on three occasions altogether. I've made hundreds of them though, my +31 Assembly outfit obviously helps a little bit.
