Thread: Price check on tailor components

I am curious as to what most tailors charge for tailor components. I found a vendor with Synthetic Cloth for 5K for a crate of 25. I tried looking for more vendors to compare prices, but gave up after 40 minutes of searching. Does that price seem reasonable or should I just make my own?

I sell mine for 3k of my vendor. I get few buys a week, and a couple armoursmiths come by and clean me out every couple weeks. I usually do a 1k run a week through my factory. 3/4 of that I use, the rest I sell. But your mileage may vary depending on your server. You might want topost on your server's trade forum to get a price check.

I don't sell components, period... 
I do store some crates on a vendor for my personal easy access and I price these at 10cpu, just in case someone happens across the vendor and decides to buy them...
I guess this isn't a very good answer, since I don't sell components I have no idea how much they sell for... I do know that all components can be purchased by the crate on the Chilastra Theed bazaar 99% of the time...

I appreciate your info, nonetheless Suni. I am just trying to get a feel for what other tailors do besides custom clothes. Thanks again.

I sell SC for 3k per crate and the others for 5k per crate. I DO NOT make wookiee pillows, so no clue on thier value.

2500 credits for SC on my vendors, 3000 on the 'zar.
4500 credits for RFP on my vendors, 5500 on the 'zar.

I sell syn cloth for 2500 per crate on Valcyn. I also stock RFP and Trim for Armorsmiths and Chefs. 8)

I have a crates only vendor. I sell a LOT of crates. And packs of crates for easier factory comp purchases for chefs and armorsmiths. This list goes in the description box of every item I sell on that vendor.
Crates available by mail order. Please allow for factory run time and order in advance of your need.
PRICES PER CRATE:
(units per crate)
Armor Padding (25) 6k
Fiberplast (50) 3.5k
Synthetic Cloth (25) 3.5k
Reinforced Fiber Panels (25) 4.5k
Trim (25) 4k
Metal Fasteners (50) 3.5k
Cargo pockets (25) 3k
Jewelry settings (25) 4k
Shoe soles (25) 3k
Travel packs (25) 25k
Packaged crates available in various counts-will split on request
I package Trim, RFPs, SCs in backpacks with various counts of 5,10,20 and 40. I do 3 1000 unit runs of Trim a week and 3 1000 unit runs of RFPs, SCs a month. Crates of Travel Packs are from a full 25 unit crate, and 2,5 and 10. And yes, even Shoe Soles, Cargo Pockets and Metal Fasteners, etc. do sell. Other tailors buy them.
So a full 40 count backpack of Trim goes for 160,000. And I have a hard time keeping those in stock.
They all sell like candy.

Trim by far sells like hotcakes.
