Thread: Questions Concerning the Resource Stats as Applied to Tailoring
First off, I would like to give kudos to the tailoring community. A number of great web-pages, postingsand guides have been created that have provided me with much good information. However, I am still confused about how the stats of a resource affect the tailoring result.
WhenI do an examine on a tailored item the onlynumber I see is the condition of 1000/1000. This led me to believe that there was no impact from the resource stats. However, since the decay change, I have been reading comments that imply overall quality has an impact on how fast something decays.
My apologies if this has been answered many times before, but I still have the following questions:
- Does overall quality impact how fast something decays?
- Do any other stats impact anything else?
- If there is a impact how do components impact the final result?
- Is there a way to see the different impacts on a tailored product?
This is the reason many of us are still upset about percentage based decay instead of use based decay. If decay was all use based, they could give us back a durability stat that would let us both experiment and have material quality matter.
As a long-time tailor, it's frustrating to me that everything we make is the same, except for bio-components that are only used by us but created by others. Because of this issue, I've recently been thinking of giving up tailoring for something a little more challenging. Our schematics and colors are so fun, but right now there's nothing beyond that.
I was holding out hope that we'd eventually get worthwhile experimentation and be able to distinguish ourselves through use of quality materials. I'm sure that tailors eventually will, but I'm no longer hopeful that we'll get it anytime soon. ![]()
