Well just wrote a big message and the message board hung on me and didnt post it. So here it goes again. Im new to the tailor prof. Was a straight combat person till last week when I got my first holocron that told me to master tailor. Well after a couple of days of grinding xp for artisan and becoming a tailor. Im seeing that I like tailor alot more then I thought I would. Going to stop the holocron jedi race and continuing to become a tailor because its a nice change to the constant combat xp grind. So my question is this how do u factor the cost of the clothesI make? Is there any calculations u guys/girls have to set a price for certain clothes? Like the diff level and how much resources the clothes takes to make? Any help would be great I dont want to under cut other tailors on my server. Oh and the other question i have is when do I get a cool vendor like the hammerhead guy? Can only make the box vendor now and think Ill hold off making a store front till I can make a better vendor for my store. Thanks u all for your help

Check out the post stickied up top for useful websites on tailoring issues, including price calculator and websites which include prices with the item pictures.

If you buy the resources for 3cpu and it takes 100 resources to make your base price is now3000 credits. Then from that base price its up to you what you wanna charge for your time.

For all newbie level items i used to charge 600 and i was selling out so fast i couldnt keep up with black and white boots. Then i bumped up to 800. Now i just do a base 1k for anything i was normally selling for under 1k. Don't get burnt out so charge more when you dont have time to craft, but dont rip people off either.

That is excellent advice BindyBalaroo. It was something that also worked for me on EQ. I saw many other people come ang go with lower prices then I had. But people were able to buy from me for a lengthy and consistent period.
