Thread: How do you add sockets to your clothes
I just started Tailor and expected some sort of experimentation and a way to add sockets to the clothes I make. So far I have not seen either. What am I missing? I read the FAQ, but didn't see this noted. I'm a master Arch., so I've done plenty of crafting.
Thanks,
They, in their ultimatewisdom, removed experimentation from schematics some months ago. Irrelevent to sockets anyway since sockets happen(ed) on consturction not experimentation.
Sockets are added randomly from 0-4 and the number is effected by your "tailoring" skill (one of the branches of the tailoring tree). For tailor-level clothing, I think you'll start seeing the occasional socket with the tailoring 1 box, and by the time you get to master you get pretty consistently 3-4 sockets.
Personally, I think it's really silly that people obsess over sockets since (a) skill tapes are SO rare (haven't gotten one in months). (b) adding more than one skill tape to a piece of clothing is reportedly not working. Because of this, I almost think 1-socket in a piece of clothing might be optimal, lol.
"Actually if you go up the engineering tree in artisan, you'll get sockets."
True, but only in clothesin the Dom Arts line.
