There are certain layers to clothing, and it's easy to think of them this way:

• Shirt layer - any shirt, or body suit takes this layer


• Pants layer - Skirt, pants, bodysuits take up this layer


• Outer layer - jackets, coats, vests, cloakstake this (Note: Bodysuits cannot accept these, but should)


• Glove layer - some gloves are hand only, some are hand and forarm


• Head layer - hats and helmets, hooded robes


• Foot layer - boots, shoes (tactical skinsuit doesn't look quite right with these)


• Forearm layer - armoured bracers, some gloves (Chitin gloves, long uniform gloves)


• Bicep layer - bicep armour, jackets, coats, cloaks


• Backpack layer - Backpacks and Bandoliers

It's a bit more complicated than that, but I'm not sure precisely what each one of the categories means. I think every "vendor" clothing category has some unique attribute that sets it apart from the others in terms of what can/can't be worn with it.

One I do know is bodysuits. The main rule with them is that the *only* thing you can wear over them (apart from the semi-obvious stuff like boots, gloves, hats, belts) is a Vest type item. Which actually makes them a bit more versatile than most people thing, since there are a lot of Vests, many of which can work quite nicely with a bodysuit.

I am trying to put some bio-enhanced outfits of clothing together and I am not quite sure what items of clothing can be worn together. Like what can be worn over a tactical skinsuit and what can vests be worn over and other combinations. I only have a few pieces of clothing and I know that some things can't be equipped at the same time as others. Like my tactical skinsuit and my gunman's duster. If someone could tell me what works with what or point me to a good website I would appreciate it. I already checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything. Thanks
