I am a bit ashamed to ask after all this time, but I have never tried it so I am curious. Has any of you ever made crates of one type of clothes? My main question is, knowing that we decide of the colors when the prototype is created, what color would they be?

The board ate my last post so here's the short version:

  1. the colors come out the way you select them on the crafting screen, all items identical in color

  2. the schematic in your datapad may show up the "default" color of the item. that's normal. The item is whatever color you made it.

  3. very useful for things like backpacks and boots. Strongly recommend for backpacks and things of limited color choices (dusters, boots, dress shoes). Do not recommend for fleshwraps etc.

Bad boards! No more eating my posts!

You decide the color when you create the schematic, so it's kind of useless for everything but the very standard item, or uniforms.

I only ever use it for the top sellers of Bio Engineered wares, medic and combat bonuses shirts.

I have made militia uniforms in factory, about 100 warm hats of different colors for a party, and some necklaces for christmas presents. Just be careful to use same serial number components in schematic and factory input.

One thing I also do for couples getting married is to make two identical rings in a factory so that they have the same serial number, along with the names of the participants of course. Couples really like that. I got that idea off someone on this forum, it wasn't an original idea of mine

I was wondering the same thing. 'Cause when you make a schematic it just skips that final custamization part. Then again, I only made two schematics so far.

Yep, I often use my factory for "staples" that sell relatively quickly like packs, boots, and gloves. I also do runs of the most popular items I still sell on the bazaars, like cloaks (in white or black) or rings (silver or gold). Then I can just carry around a crate or two with me and quickly load the bazaar up wherever I happen to be travelling.

Done it a couple of times, to fill PA uniform orders, although I did fill an order once entirely by hand.. /whap self

My factory's usually busier with components.
