The guild I am part of is currently trying to decide on a guild uniform. We have a few ideas but I thought it would be best to ask the proffesionals so to speak. The original idea was to have a guild armor, but our choices are pretty limited (What colour composite) so we are considereing a more general guild uniform.

We would like it to look unique and good (not much help :smileysad It would be nice if it could encompass both armor and clothing parts, though that certainly isnt a requirement. We dont have a colour scheme yet as we are still thinking (and asking others) about ideas.

Chances are, the more creative and fasion concious members of the community can do a better job than I can, so any suggestions and ideas would be welcome.

many thanks

My only advice is stay away from black and red. Oh, and hot pants.

Some folks make think it's a bit too ordinary, but I think the 'Uniform Jacket' is a GREAT thing for a guild to customize.

The shoulder pauldrons are very large, and can be color customized rather well. Plus, the chest plate is a metallic color, which suits most guilds fine. Add a set of 'Dress Slacks', or striped pants, camo pants, and you have an easy uniform.

I've also seen others go the 'Councilman's Robe' direction...it's a decent (IMHO) Unisex look that can be customized decetly...looks great on melee fighters.

Perhaps the best bit of advice I can give you is: Don't just pick ONE outfit...not everyone will be happy with it...Pick your guild colors, and then have several different outfits. Put them on display in your PA Hall, and let the individual choose which she/he wants to wear. Have a 'formal' outfit, and a 'relaxed' outfit.

This is just a suggestion, first the guild decides on a color scheme. Then have a variety of Items that can be made within the color scheme, so that each person can maintain their individual style and still carry the guild colors. Perhaps you can have four different pant, shirt, jacket options to mix and match from... Even toss in a robe for your higher-up's.

I agree that the dress uniform jacket looks great for guys, paired with dress or comfortable pants. Put a dress shirt under it. Usually the ladies, particularly those who are not combat, prefer something less masculine to wear. You can do a skirt and top of some sort in the same colors.

For our PA we did several different outfits depending on what division a person was with. Combat, Entertainer and Artisan. All are in the same color scheme...and everyone looks nice when we're together.

I recomment staying away from really strong colors like red, black, bright purple, bright green, electric blue. The main reason is that when all of you are together it is like a sea of people all in the same color, same outfit. At the same time you don't want the outfits to be too plain jane...so choose colors really well.

I've seen a guild on my server dressed for a public social event all in identicalgolden/orange robes of honor. Impressive, tasteful and glorious to behold, and since it's a robe, it doesn't matter what they're wearing underneath.

I like the dress uniform jacket and the lined workshirt. The shoulder colours can be set for rank, and shows up great with nearly any combination of pants and accessories.

Sturdy boots seem to be standard for almost all of them, even though the colours are a bit dull. Otherwise they like Hide boots for the rich black. Most seem to like the paramilitary camo pants set for whatever colour scheme their home planet is. Corellia - Wheat, Naboo - SeaGreen, Tatooine - Dune, etc.

The best thing though is an assortment. There are combat clothes they will want for raids, and formal wear for special functions. Rank in the guild is important to everyone, so they may also want slight colour alterations, or accessory changes for showing who is who.
