Well fellow tailors, it's time for Valina by Design's End of the Month Report again,

So, here's how our friendly neighborhood Tarquinian Tailor faired for the month of June.

Basic Facts and Figures:

Total Articles of Clothing Sold: 408

Total Revenue Generated: 992,400 crd

Monthly Expenses: 64,000 crd

Total Monthly Profit: 928,400 crd

I must say I was extremely happy w/ these numbers, last month I sold 297 w/ a profit of 574,100. Major bump up this month!

Break Down of Sales:

Here's a lil interesting data on what sold well this month, plus i've added a comparision w/ last month to feature items most inproved in sales and most decreased in sales.

This month's big winner for most sales is a tie!! The number one position is shared this month w/:

Jeans: sold 18

Mini-Skirt: sold 18

For anyone interested Jeans are just stripped pants renamed. I call them jeans as they have the texture of denium and if colored right, really look like jeans. I sell them only ina light blue, grey, white, darkest blue (I think this is actually the first blue family of colors on the master pallette), and light brown. I call the colors: Faded Blue, Faded Black, Crisp White, Indigo, and Sueded Brown. Folks seem to like them and buy them up quickly.

Mini-Skirt is just the Pullover located under vest schematics. I color this in all the basic colors and pastels, the pastels actually seem to sell faster than the basic colors. I usually display them alone w/ a pair of hide or standard boots so folks get the idea to wear it all alone, it really does look like a mod 60's style mini skirt when worn alone.

Ok, so that's the number one position, rounding out the runner up top five:

2) Leather Pants (Ribbed Pants): sold 15

Light Bustier: sold 15

3) Two-Toned Formal Skirt: sold 14

4) Dress Slippers: sold 13

Sandles: sold 13

5) Go-Go Boots (Hide Boots): sold 12

6) Decorative Vest: sold 10

Muscle Shirt: sold 10

Hot Pants: sold 10

Sunguard: sold 10

Paramilarty Camos: sold 10

Pantaloons: sold 10

Casual Shoes: sold 10

Most improved item in sales, again we have a tie this month, Light Bustier and Two-Toned Formal Skirt, both enjoyed an increase of 12 extra sold this month over last month, yay you two!! Job well done!!

Most decreased item in sales, sadly it's last month's number one! Sandles dropped an abysmale (sp) 10 sells this month! Poor sandles, they were so my fav last month, now, sadly, they are out of date Better luck next month.

So, what's new this month, what lessons were learned? Well, no new vendors or shops have been added since last month. Expenses were way down this month as most things were already paid up and harvesters weren't running as much as i have a nice stock supply of chemicals and minerals already. The main item that changed this month was no bazaar sales. I was so busy w/ restocking my vendors daily that i just didn't have the time or the energy to place items on the bazaars as i normally do. The interesting thing is that my sales still managed to increase. The items that were hot salers last month were items that were regularly placed on the bazaars, so i figure my numbers would have been even higher had i had the time to keep up w/ placing items on the bazaar.

The only other thing that changed is that i changed out my displays from last month and added new items to my vendors slowly, only one new item per week. I'm also sticking mainly to seasonal items. Last month i featured Summer Skirts and dresses on my Women's vendor near Theed. They sold alright, not massively, but ok. I added tops slowly over the month, so that each week there was at least one new item on the vendor in various colors. I have been getting more repeat business, so i'm guessing this helped in keeping them coming back for more. Will continue this feature this month and see if it continues to help out. Will also change my featured item of the month, maybe focus on shorts and tee's this month.

Well, that's all the tailoring news from lil ol' me! Hope you enjoyed the read and any comments are more than welcome!

In the style of Valina (/bow) here's what Kelsaka's Clothing Boutique has done:

Basic Facts and Figures:

Total Articles of Clothing Sold: 1138 (only sales from Kelsaka's Clothing Boutique, Clothing for Wookies, Clothing for Entertainers & BE Wear counted)

Total Revenue Generated:3239,305 crd

Monthly Expenses:709,700 crd

Total Monthly Profit:2529,605 crd

My best seller was Cloak, Black (4) with 33 sales.

Coming in second was Hide Boots, Black (32) with 16 sales.

Sandles were not selling as well as last month for me either, Black was the most popular with 9 sales but Blue, Grey, Pink, White and Yellow only had 1 sale each.

I don't have the maintance added to my expenses above but I also don't have sales from my Crates & Misc vendor included in my revenue. The crates of Synth Cloth sold (267) covers any maintance I've paid to my factories and guildhall/store.

I do rely on vendor sales for most of my money and spend 90% of my in-game time restocking so there is always 2000+ items available just on my main vendor. I also sold quite a lot of BE wear this month as I was able to make quite a lot of +25 items. I know the thought of spending all day restocking is not ideal for most players, but I seem to enjoy it (always was a bit strange ).

I'm also changing my vendor's clothing on a fortnightly basis now, if nothing else it shows the vendors are being updated and I haven't vanished into thin air (quite a few crafters seem to do that after a while). They are currently in patterned slip dresses so it will be interesting to see if sales of them improve.

Kirrana, nope, don't bother w/ BE clothes. I would like to, but haven't found a BE i can count on for tissues. I have to say, that w/o selling BE clothes of any kind, i remain suprised at how my sales figures continue to grow each month. The number of folks that are buying clothing that does not help them in any way in game really points to how many ppl just like to have their char look good, which to me points out how important imersion is to this game. Other wise folks wouldn't bother w/ non-BE clothing.

Hehe, nice to know Kirrana that someone else tried the summer skirt thing and it didn't fly, was worried that i had made some really ugly skirts! lol!

Kelsaka, thanks for your break down, nice to know someone else had a slump in sandles sales too!

Ooh reports! It's always nice to hear how other tailors are doing. As you know, I recently went into business on TC with Syzygy, and we set up shop.... upon which, the server came down for 5 days, people were still trickling in and out of TC2, blah blah. Although I won't have specific numbers (hah, me do inventory, hah!) I'll let y'all know how it's going in a bit...

Lol I'd love to do it too but ugh too much work.

That being said, I've noticed that good clothing shops are now extremely rare, so I'm not surprised that the good ones actually sell more now.

Try "The Merchant's Friend." I'm just starting to play with this program, but so far it looks really, really cool. Load up SWG to your merchant toon and type /saveMail. Once you get the completion message quit the game and run the program. Select your account, server, and toon, and watch the program do all the work for you. It'll tell you what sold, when, for how much, to whom, and from where. It'll also do all sorts of nifty filtering and aggregating. I'm going to play with it over the next month and see what all it can do.

Oh good report I love to hear how other tailors are doing. I like the idea of jeans I had not thought of that one but they seem to be selling well so I might give them a go. What I do find interesting is the change in sales, I guess my server is a little more boring I have the same items selling at number one every month.

I had to laugh to your display idea I did the same with summer skirts and tops, I made them in a nice gold and mint green. I thought they looked great but sadly did not sell to well. But as you point out I think its very important to change the shop display. Not every week just enough to show people new stock or refresh old ideas. People like to see what it looks like before they buy. I tend to find items on display sell much better.

I was just wondering if you sell Bio Eng clothes I know getting hold of the BE stuff is hard but it helps balance out profit. Normal clothes tend to be cheap and sell a lot Bio Clothes are a lot more expensive but it tends to make a nice return on my books.

Well keep up the good work Alliaya lets hope July will be good to.

June has been a good month it seems. This is my first full month of only stocking bio products. I got bored of stocking regular clothing, andit's very time consuming. BE clothinghas been much easier to stock, provided you can get a steady supply of tissue.

I LOVE Merchant's Friend! One other great feature is if you share a vendor (or rent a vendor) you can designate that vendor in a partner's list, and it will track how much is owed to the partner (if say you're taking a 10% commission, it will automatic tell you how much).

And the super nice thing, ITS NOT A LOT OF WORK!

The Merchant's Friend is what I use too, otherwise I'd have no idea how much money I'm making! Its also the only way I can keep track of my restocking, being able to export the reports into a spreadsheet program is so useful for me Without a doubt its the best SWG add-on I've used so far.
