I am looking for green diamonds and want to know where to find them.
I want to make a Noble's Crest but it takes two gemstones. I think I have the first one
that starts with an A but where do I find Green Diamonds?
Is this something I am goin to have to ask for money from the customer for up front?
if so what do I charge when I have to locate these things, 4800 like one price list suggests?
5000?
I told her 3000 when I thought it was a simply request from what I already had..
please help!!

I had quite a hard time finding green diamond gemstone when I got an order for noble's crests, and I hear from the person I finally managed to get some from (he only had 1k and was luckily willing to part with it, and cheap) that it hasn't spawned on my server (Tempest) for a while.
And while I understand that my prices are above average for my server, I sell my noble's crests for 10k each (actually, I sell all Twi'lek headpieces other than bone crest and lekku wraps for 10k each). And they sell. In fact, while I even think my prices are a little steep, I've never had complaints about the prices (and often have people give me extra).
But yeah. Green diamond is just another variety of crystalline gemstone. Check swgcraft for your server and see if/where it's spawning, then plop a mineral harvester down on top of a concentration.

ok, went to make this specific head piece that requires the green gem and relized... oh no no stones...
so here is what i did and it worked pretty well
i sent an email out to friends, which i seemed to have more then i thought... but sent out a request saying i would pay for them and many responses showed me ppl had them in a bag they didn't realize,... so just ask ppl you know too, you would be surprised how many ppl have it but don't realize it

There was a rather large concentration of it near me about 5 months ago. I haven't seen it since but I stockpiled it and luckily still have some left. When you see it, drop as many extractors as you can!!!

i have never had trouble finding any kind of gemstone - especially the green diamond - i live on naboo and all of them are always available regulary there.... (chimaera server)

Oh my, I would have thought a thread with this many replies would have an answer to the question, but we have everything from they are always available to they are never available, lol. In all seriousness, they are just a specific resource, one of the few that tailors use, and so their availability is random, and depending on when and where you are looking, you may have a hard or an easy time finding them.
My advice to new tailors is to look at the tailor tree, identify the "specific" resources that are needed (green diamond gemstone, plexite amorphous gemstone, titanium aluminum, thoranium steel, mythra copper etc.) and keep your eyes out for it.

just had a really weak spawn of the green diamond gemstone on tatooine last week....think I was able to harvest around 4k before it shifted

Green Diamonds are very precious gemstones that don't spawn that often. Luckily there was a spawn of them about 2 weeks ago. It is very rare when they come around, so when they do it is quite important to throw down a harvester or 2 on them
