Many players have tested said that melee/ranged defense clothing is a broken mod. I however think that it is not broken but ineffective do to the +25 cap on moded clothing.


In testing against a Jedi with MLS vs a Master TK:
No /centerof being = Jedi never miss, hit every time
With /centerofbeing active (+500 to melee def for 30 sec) = jedi missed on every 5th hit and have 15point damage reduction


Not sure what math the game uses but looks like for every +100 of melee defense you get a miss every 25 hits. So for the mods on defense clothing they would have to be stacked with food and other def mods to have a detectible effect.


I think the best fix for this is simply remove the +25 cap on clothing making +100 suits possible thought the use of tailor made clothing and looted CA’s. This would improve a TKM’s 1/5 miss rate to 1/4, making tailor made clothing a very valuable thing to have.

Well someone who had no melee defense can put on a +25 suit and instantly have more melee defense then a master brawler would have. From the novice Teras Kasi box you would have to earn 5 additional boxes of Teras Kasi to get an additional +25 bonus of melee defense, and clothing gives youranged defense on top of that. So I don't buy the argument that it is not enough. +100 wound be silly imo. I think the devs were pretty generouson this one. What I'm not sure of though is whether it's working on not. Everyone who has bothered to test it has come to the conclusion that it does not work, but the devs have given us conflicting info on exactly what it does (we've been told at one point, accuracy, and at another point damage).


/sigh maybe it's time for another "arthur test". I'll see what I can do.
