Well, after 8 months of tailoring, I am finally giving it a rest. I still enjoy the profession but I am sick of dealing with the crappy color selections available, the infuriating process of attempting to match colors, and the stunning lack of cool headgear. I won't even go into the issues with merchant.
At any rate, I am keeping the skills but closing the shop down for now and praying for new schematics, more and better colors, and some improvements to merchant befoe I think about opening up my shop again.

Nobody quit until we see what form this patch makes it to live. Seriously. Could be tweaked, could be not tweaked, but don't base a huge decision on something that is on TC, since those things change.

Yeah, don't quit now. This if most likely a form of negotiation. The devs want a limit and set it very low to get a reaction from the players, then they raise it a little so everyone gets "happy". We'll still have a limit when it goes live but it'll be higher than what's on TC now. (Still sucks though)

Ido not know about the origional poster butI am not quitting yet and do not wish to tell anyone they should.
I did say "If this nerf goes through"
But if it does, I have looked at the situation and just cannot imagine giving up all those skill points in order to sell so few items. And I cannot sell over50 items a day (like I do now) without well stocked vendors.
I mean there were even devs on record saying they would at least lower the needed skill points for merchant to very few if this did ever go through. So at least we are not alone on thinking this is very very bad.
They will probably take back half of the nerf so that we feel good about the fact they only kind of screwed us over.
I really think they are trying to make us all quit sometimes. Are they losing money on this game or something?
If this is to increase server speed though my server better fricken fly!!!!
I will not go out of business without a fight though. I would rather be banned for protesting with all the merchants in theed for 3 days strait than actually quit the game. Hey it worked for the wookiees......sort of.
The only solution I can think of is to give extra Item storage to master crafters and maybe give master tailors +400 items or something so we can maintain a decent inventory. I seriously doubt anyone would hang onto master tailor just for the extra vendor space.

The nerf IS going through. There's nothing we'll be able to do to change it to an acceptable amount of damage from the Devs. It's just like the housing limit nerf. They started at 25 items per lot than made it seem like they were being nice "raising" it to 75 per lot, still nearly only half what we had before. This is the same wool-over-the-eyes deceitful game they played with that.
Just remember, the only acceptable number you're gonna find is at Master Merchant. Is EVERY tailor a Master Merchant? Is your current Merchant Skill enough to keep up your amount of stock?
I feel horrible for the poor Tailors who sacrifice enough to get Business III to run their small, but fully stocked, stores. They'll get hit hardest with this. 50 items.. that's an insult, might as well take away my vendor totally so I can spend the points elsewhere, maybe in Engineering so I can make Bone Armor no one wears.

Well I think a lot of us will be quitting tailor or the game if this vendor nerf goes through. If they delete half of my items from game I will definatly be quitting.
I have put up with a bunch of crap from this game because I love starwars and have made some good gaming friends. But this is just total crap!!!
Ok I am done ranting now.
