I'll try to hit TC and see what's waht. In the meantime, I understand your concern about any vendor limits (erm, I'm a master merch on TC), and just want to remind you that things may get tweaked between TC and live.
Item 2 on the agenda is to check if the 0/0 bug is fixed.
Meh, my preciouss vacation...

Always watchful.
Thanks, NJ!
I'm not sure if anyone has pointed it out yet, but this also worries me:
-----
a /findFriend command has been added. /findFriend will only work when both players are on each other's friends list. As long as both players are on each other’s friend list, the /findfriend command will create or update a 'friend' waypoint to a friend's current location.
-----
If they're going to put this in, could you please nudge them to rush the log-in-anonymously and be-invisible-on-friends-lists options?

I think I see where you are worried, those annoying customers that have you on friends now able to find you anywhere anytime. But this shouldn't be a problem since you have to have them on your friend's list before they can find you. And I agree wholeheartedly, please please PLEASE have them get a log anonymous option in. I was dead tired the other night and only planned on being on a few short minutes to set a factory run and put power/maint on some harverstors. 3+ hours later, I finally managed to get to what I had originally planned to do

/findFriend also opens up a number of possible social issues too.
"Awww Alcie, I couldn't /findFriend you! I'm not on your friends list?
I put you on mine!" I can see it now.

I like the thinking behind the vendor nerf. We have a problem with empty vendors being on the map, so we'll remove the empty ones, then guarantee that every vendor that was previously well stocked, is now nearly emtpy. 120 items (for me at novice merchant), lol, that's just a sick joke. The day that goes live may very well be the day I cancel my account(s).

I'd been dithering all week over whether to quit worrying about this impending vendor nerf, or to go ahead and reduce stock now, in anticipation of how harsh it might be. I even posted in the merchant forum about it just a few days ago. I decided just today to go ahead and fire sale my 2000-3000 stock and reduce. Ooops, too late. Now the info is leaked, everyone over those limits will be dumping into the market. It will be a flood.
Weeeeee! *goes off to build an ark*

Really, this means I'm just going to be able to stock white and black clothing, and have to do all the colors and such that I like by custom order only.
Makes me sad. Almost to the point of giving up tailor.
If they don't throw us a bone soon...

Nono, Sre'dni! Come back! It's not safe on the merchant forum! Let it cool down first--the natives are skinning people alive there!

This has got to be the stupidest nerf I've ever heard of. The more I think about it, the angrier I get.
Who exactly does this nerf affect?
Is it the annoying grinders who beg everyone in sight to come stare at their vendors filled with poorly made powerups and grind-quality bone armor? nope, not one bit.
Is it the well meaning "part timer" who occasionally throws a few items in his vendor when he feels like it, but generally prefers to do other things? nope, not at all.
Is it the "average" player artisan. The kind who keeps a reasonably stocked vendor, occasionally lets it go, and changes professions every couple of months? no, doesn't really affect them at all.
Well just who does this affect then? Oh yea, the people who play the game the most. The most avid players. The kinda players who have the most popular shops. The "poster children" of the game. Oh, and in particular tailors. Nice. Wonderful, that.
What would this nerf mean to me? 120 item limit. Right now I generally run at about1000 including several runs of 40 chef crates, maybe 20 tailor tissue crates, around 600 clothing items, around 50 pets, around 100 assorted pet pharma products, andthen some other assorted items like repair kits, food items, and so forth. Getting down to 120 items? Oh sure, that's real possible... if I start playing WOW that is.

My personal theory is that theyare trying to prevent people from using the vendors are storage. Unfortunately it has a much bigger impact than that.
And the sad thing is that even if they cancel this change the damage is already done. We, the players, trust SOE even less than before. Will they ever learn?
