Thread: RPing gone awry due to game mechanics
Lunah limped up the walk to her house. After 3 days of hunting and flying around the galaxy scouting resources for less than 2 cpu, she just wanted to get out of her armor and into a hot bath. She knew she only had a few hours to rest on Naboo, before turning around and heading back to Tatooine. Her rendezvous with the sleazy-but-cute bounty hunter in the back room of the Lucky Despot was late this evening, and she needed to be in top form. A great outfit was essential.
After bathing and rebraiding her hair, she opened the closet. All she saw was armor and workclothes. Long skirts and battle padding were not going to impress the womanizing Zabrak she was meeting. “That’s it!” she snapped. “I’m going shopping.”
As she had to go to Galia to pick up some resources anyway, she figured she might as well buy something girly and frilly. Something…hawt.
200k goes fast these days: 150k of resources, 2 pair elbow length gloves (pink & black), one extremely revealing skirt (violet), one fleshwrap (white), one revealing top (black), one metal bikini (pink) and an infiltration suit (emerald green). She threw everything into the back of the speeder and headed home.
Once back in her room, she stripped down and tried on her new clothes. The fleshwrap left little to the imagination, but looked great under her Tantel chestplate. The gloves fit nicely underneath the arm ribbons. The skirt looked like something an exotic dancer would wear, but it fit the mood she was in. The revealing top was the most unscandalous thing she bought, and looked like it would liven up many of her long skirts for casual guild meetings. But the infiltration suit…skin-tight, it didn’t leave anything to the imagination. The emerald green print, reminiscent of crystal snake skin, emphasized the parts of her body she knew the Zabrak would be most interested in. Mabari boots and a different bracelet, and she was set.
Lunah stopped and stared in the mirror. She couldn’t walk into the Despot like this without an escort. The back room might have a disreputable BH expecting her, but the front was likely to be crowded with ruffians who wouldn’t think twice about hassling her. And while she had learned to fight on Corellia by practicing on durnis, and could put up a good fight with Meatlumps, the crowd at the Despot was beyond her meager pistol skills. She grabbed her hooded cloak, and was astounded to find she was now utterly naked!
So I can’t put on a cloak over an infiltration suit or a fleshwrap? How am I supposed to leave the house dressed like that? It’s indecent.
If I, a simple tailor, am going to leave the house dressed in little more than RIBBONS or skin-tight snakeskin, I should be able to throw a cloak on for modesty’s sake. I realize this is, in fact, #19 on the last list of our concerns submitted to the devs, but I just felt the urge to share my frustration with my fellow tailors. A cloak really should fit over everything else I’m wearing.![]()
I remember seeing someone wearing the combo and thinking it looked pretty cool
I agree though...You should be able to wear ANYTHING under a cloak. You wear a cloak for the sole purpose of covering up what you have on underneath, be it vest, fleshwrap, or armour.
We should get one of those people who dresses up as a Stormtrooper (IRL) to take photos of himself wearing a cloak...just to prove to the Devs that its possible. Lol.
