Hello. I was wondering what is the best way to get up to 12 point Tailor. I am so noob at this Tailor stuff, I didn't even think that it mattered to have tailored clothing with points in it, as I always thought it was just random anyways.


So what should I get and what is the best way? I have never seen skill tapes for Tailor, only modded clothing I have seen is from a Tusken, and women can't wear that...so...any help please? On the best route to go?


What is needed most?

You dont need to be a 12 point tailor.


IE - i wouldnt worry too much about skill tapes untill you know what the effects of your tapes really do (something so small the rest of us arenot positivethey do anything anyway)

I NEVER get any sockets on anything though...what the heck could I be doing wrong? I mean I know that my luck was bad...but sheesh....after making over 10 - 15 items and not even 1 socket.....that is BAD!

the only thing that tailors can exp on right now is padded armour (in the componet section.)


This is something you can sell to armoursmiths for wookiee armour (its a componet they need with good quality.)


There is a rumor that assembly skill gives you more 4 socket clothing.


There is a schemtic for crafting apron (that give bonuses to different things depending on the schemtic ... you cant tell which till after you learn the schemtic. One of the aprons does have tailor bonuses.) Tailor skil tapes also go for pretty cheap. Try your trade forums and just keep watching out. A friend of mine just got me a +10 to clothing exp ... so with a few other tapes I have I am 12 point tailor and +14 assembly now

What items were you making? Some don't get sockets at all. Others are in the domestic arts line and you need engineering to get sockets.

They were in the Jackets section. Casual Jacket and Labour Jacket.

Not sure about the Labor Jacket but Casual is artisan and it's sockets are soley based on your Engineering line.


As far as 12pt tailor.... I'm working on it because I'm just bored. I took a leave for a few months but I've been an MT since a month past launch... *pre grind days* I made multiples of each new box and.... well I ramble.


I can't go kill a Krayt so this is my entertainment. It has no bearing on my craft only that somewhere, in the deep recesses of my crooked mind, it will make me feel more viable as a crafter... AS's need it, we don't.. but doesn't mean I don't want one LOL.


/shrug you don't even need extra points to max the wook pillows.


Check the labor jack... if it is artisan as well then you'll have the answer on that. I use to know every item, what pallet it used and what skill level it was.... no wonder I needed a few months off.

Well that explains it then. I didn't have engineering before at all. Thank goodness I had enough to go at least 2 boxes into Engineering, and got a 1 and 3 sockets. I think this includes the other jacket as well cuz I got sockets on them as well....only after I trained engineering.

I love being a 12pt. only because I know my padding is better than everyone elses It helps that I'm the MAS that uses it too
