It says the prereq for novice tailor is something like 12k general crafting xp. How does she get this? She made a few pants and shirts with novice artisen. When you looked at the artisen lines it showed like 600xp, but when you clicked on novice tailor it said something like "You need 12,000 xp and you currently have 160xp". So what is the best thing to make to get to novice tailor? Are there any preqreq boxes that she needs or just the general crafting XP? Thanks guys, sorry for the newb questions but I've never played a crafter before.

First you have to get to domestic arts 4 to be able to proceed to tailor.

To get the points for novice tailor, personally I made a LOT of soft undershirts...and had to delete most of them. Now that we can practice craft it won't be so bad. Whenever I ran out of fiberplast I made things with hide or polymer instead. But for the most part, LOTS of soft undershirts is what worked for me.

She basically needs to work her way up through the Domestic Arts branch of Artisan ( the surveyor branch would be very helpful in obtaining all the necessary resources - with the exception of hide, bone and meat which can only be harvested by scouts - i buy or trade for these items) Once she acheives level IV Domestic Arts, she can then accumulate skill points towards Novice Tailor. As you probably know from playing other classes, there is no need to be a Master Artisan to become a Novice Tailor. I have found that Hide Boots give good xp and sell fairly well on the bazaar, though I do not remember at which level of Domestic Arts I was able to make them.

Cool, thanks guys. I didn't see that the domestic line went into tailoring, I looked too. I guess she won't mind though since she can already craft a few pieces of clothing. Again thanks guys sorry to be such a n00b.

Also, you can make things from the Eng. side to get GCE. So making weapon powerups and the likewill help get her up the Dom tree. And at least break the monotony...

Once she gets to domestic IV have someone get her about 1500 hide/steel/polymer and practice leather gloves they give 75XP a piece and require 10 of each of those resources i listed. I cranked out the extra 15k xp i needed in about an hour with those.

From someone who's slowly dropping CH to have room for tailor, i can tell you what is the best thing to get fast tailoring XP.

Don't start as a tailor. Start as a melee class, get an amazing weapon, go blitz missions. Don't kill, just destroy mission objectives. With berserk running you can pop an objective (Destroy mission objective) in 4 hits tops.

Get a good 100-200k, should take you 2-3 days. Then, go to the bazaar and buy thousands of ressources you'll need. Buy fibreplast panels by the crate load. Then, sit down and craft. When you remove the need for ressources, you can concentrate on crafting. Grinding out constantly.

Trust me, you won't be sorry.

Heh, i'm the only Teras Kasi tailor. That's right, you too can flip like jacky chan...and look good too.
