Thread: Order and possibly delivery system
I understand how you feel. I can't keep all my orders stright at times it seems. Or atleast I use not to be able to. Now I keep a pad of paper and a pen next to my computer. I write down names, and what they want, and use the /tell system to get details, and to let them know when I'm done with the items, or ready to help them. It's working pretty good so far. I can also see what people may have the same request. (Oh look...6 orders for trench coats...make them all at once...done).

Email works sort of, but you are limited to the number of characters that can be in the body, so if you send two or three responses back and forth, eventually you run out of room and have to delete text. Then you forget what the heck the order was and have to ask again.
Plus it gets mixed up with all the other email, and it becomes very hard to manage when you have 40-60 emails everytime you log on. Some new orders, some old, some system messages.
I would like to see some sort of ordering system, where a customer could preview and select the item they would like, in the color they would like that is available for that item, and it would keep a list for me. When I had completed the order, I could send click a 'finished' button and it would send an email notifying the person that it was ready.
Even better, a delivery device, that would allow the customer to come pick up their order and pay for it, when I'm offline. Ok, maybe that's wish for a bit much.. but if you don't ask, you never get!

Hmm. I'm not sure i like that because it would make us even more isolated from our customers. I like the fact that to see something they need to come to my shop and look around and try things on.
I'd rather see filters and subfolders for email.
You know, this is the only major game with in game email -- can you even imagine trying to play without it? What a thought.
a temporary solution i just thot of
how about u forward the important priority order emails to yourself? delete the others and in the heading put PRIORITY 1 or the date of when the order came in so then u can decide which order u need to deal with first
ofc when u forward it you could also add some notes to it somewhere ie the buyer name etc and price etc etc
once u finished that order u could then use it for the basis of sending a ORDER COMPLETED email to said ordererererererrrer r err
It would be nice if was another section in vendors called "Your orders", and that the vendors allows us to put up items tagged with the name of the recipient, so that it shows up in the "Your orders" section if the items are ready.
I like this a lot. I'm forever telling people I can do their special order but it's so popular that I can't guarantee it'll still be on the merchant when they get there. I saw one person had put a special order vendor in the back room, which is a start, but there's still no guarantee.
I wouldn't mind limiting offers to a list of people either.
Well, it's not what we're looking for, but they do allow a (Seemingly) unlimited # of macros... Copy and paste the text from the message to a new macro, and delete it when you're done. They even stay in order of when it was received if you name it right.
