Thread: Plate style skill enhancements
Hi All,
I just want to clarify two things and I'm hoping the experts here can help me out.
1. "Plate" style skill enhancements are only for armor
2. "Roll of tape" style skill enhancements are only for socketed clothing
Are the above two statements accurate?
1. No, to my knowledge, plate skill enhancers I have been told fit into fibreplast panels (Tailor Fieldwear II) while crafting them.
2.Yes, that is correct.

you mean RFPs?
mob-dropped enhancers (the ones that look like bone armor segments) go into ARMOR the same way the "roll of tape" enhancers go into completed clothing.
bio-engineer created enhancers (myoflex, et. al.) go into synthetic/reinforced during the crafting process.
How do they fit into armor when, to my knowledge, armor has no sockets?
Had a customer trying to use these and he dragged and dropped over his armor and it didn't work at all.

I assumed that since they look like bone armor segments, they'd be used the same way, during the creation of armor. Has anyone tried that?
I have tried this and could not get it to work...at least I couldn't get it to work for bone armor
I could SWEAR I made socketed bone armor pieces while skilling up in Artisan... Now, I'm starting to wonder if I just imagined it.
No idea about Armorcrafter-level stuff though.
This is so sad to me, because all of the combat bonuses seem to be on the armor plates. I don't want no stinking armor. Why can't I get +2 Pistol Accuracy? If this is how they're meant to work I wish they'd named them "armor enhancers" and "clothing enhancers" because I've definately have customers who will want to use the combat bonuses in their clothing.
Has anyone found any of the tape-style enhancers with combat bonuses?
