Thread: Sometimes can't get items out of factory crates?
Sometimes I can't get items out of factory crates for love or money. I double-click, or use ther radial menu, and the count drops by 1, then immediately pops back up to the original number. And of course, no item appears in my inventory.
Is there a work-around, a way to get the crate un-stuck?
I've only had this happen to me once, and I think the whole crate was bugged. A crate of 2 synth was sitting in my factory at the end of a run, along with 8 full crates.
I had made a 1000 schematic and input exactly 200 cloths worth of resources in. No-one was near my factory during the run, so it popped back into existence when I returned home to find 202 cloth in the output hopper.
Was never able to use those 2, would keep dropping to 1 then bouncing back again as described above, so destroyed them.
If you stop a run and get a partial crate, I'd say 75% of the time it's unusable. Sometimes if it has like 15 in it, I'll get 6 out and then it stops being usable. It's definitely not an inventory issue as it never happens with full crates and I'm able to remove items from other crates.
This happened to me today while I was getting some cloth out of a crate during crafting. My inventory was actually full, but even when I moved an item to my travel pack the problem kept happening. I closed my crafting tool and closed my inventory, then reopened inventory and was able to pull cloth out of the crate just fine.
I've only had it happen that one time though, and suspect it started just because my inventory was full not because my crate was buggy.
Crate delay is when the number goes down but you don't see the item. Later the item shows up.
This problem is the number on the factory crate goes down one then bounces back up and you don't get the item. This happened to 10 or so of my crates, waited 3 days through two server resets and still bugged. I have tried every suggestion on the boards, nothing works., had to delete them all. For some waiting works, for some it doesn't.
