Just reached Casual 1, and boy couldn't wait to try tipless gloves...er..uh..ugh. What's the point? They look just like any other lower glove, and...well they ain't tipless. Trying to match tip up with players skin is akin to torture by flies. So, not only do they suck, but I have to charge nearly 3x as much as the leather work gloves. Does anybody by these things?

It's not just you. I've been excited countless times about getting certain items only to be very disappointed in their true appearances. Ugh. (Non)Tipless Gloves really are teh suck.

I've occasionally sold them. Er, twice, to be precise.

The only real use for them I can see is if someone wants to be *really* color-coordinated. Say, the whole outfit's in Blue and White, including the gloves. Even in those cases, I think "neutral" colors like solid black or white sometimes look better than colorful stuff for the "leathers" (i.e., gloves and boots.)

It's a bit of a science, but you get used to matching skin tone after a while. I've sold and made plenty. All my friends wear 'em, and I never take mine off.

Would be nice if they were truly tipless, though.

I make a lot of them because they're more heavily socketed than most of the gloves I make. I haven't studied it systematically, but it sure seems that way.

But it is ridiculous that they're not really tipless.

You have to custom make them for people to match their skin tone. I beleive this is code or art issue that does not allow the tips to be drawn (or erased)

Now there's an idea. Making the base flesh tone and recoloring the tips to something else. . . gunna hafta try that out on a few entertainer friends of mine.

I sell them quite often, but I make a change to their name.
