Thread: Are there any Tailor fixes coming at all?

I also saw nothing about tailoring there - bit upsetting. However I recall a post I saw in the last week by someone who plays on the test server. The ones that stuck out were colours fixed on wookiee clothing and clothing sorted into categories in the crafting tool.

Apparently there are a bunch of non-trivial enhancements to the crafting process in general, as well as (finally!) useful subdivisions of Clothing for both the crafting tools and bazaar/vendors, so there are some goodies in store, even if they're not exactly tailor-specific....

Having the crafting list broken down into types of clothing in our crafting station ... PLUS ... having the crafting station remember the last item you made and preselects it .... alone is enough to make me happy.

But then again I am happy if I get a grape flavored Tootsie Roll Pop

Are they going to fix the number one problem with the tailoring tree? Clothing degrading. If they don't put this in soon, most of us might as well give up on the profession. Once everyone has the clothing they want, what incentive do they have to buy new clothes.

Yeah, clothes are now in categories and sorted.

Crafting station changes remembering what you last did.

ALso some indirect fixes...admin rights on factories/houses/vendors now actually work. You can let people use your factory, or place your vendor in someone elses house, or let a friend pick something up off the ground from yours. All very very very good stuff.

Wookie colors are also fixed.

Just a few things I've heard from the test players.

Nothing for us in the big patch, with so many of our issues appearantly that easy to fix.. (the 55 colors for example)

Our correspondent tell us not even he gets any information.

Whz is there time to redesign the whole combat system (which worked more or less fine over months in beta) and so little time put into getting broken professions fixed. (and im not talking primarily about tailors here, we have not that much big issues. There are plenty of other professions with more serious issues which arent fixed either. All they do for BEs is reduce xp and make their life harder for example, good fix for a class with a whole tier in their profession practically useless)

I didn't mean to imply that those changes are the only ones I want to see ... because clothing decay *is* a critical feature for the survival of the profession.

I was mostly meaning that will all the bugs in the game still ... this will hold me till the next patch ... I mean at least our profession works ... it could be worse ... *cough*Commando*cough*

I find it extremely annoying that even after this big update, I still have to constantly explain that I cannot make bright red.

One general thing to bear in mind is that this upcoming "BigPatch" was more or less put into testing *before* any of the Profession Feedback reports were done. It's conceivable that some of the "Top 5's" of the various professions might be addressed anyhow, but I wouldn't necessarily *expect* it in this patch.

I know that clothing degradation is not in this patch. However, Q-3PO has expressed his own interest in its implementation. It is very essential to the prosperation (ok I've used to many *ion's) of our profession.

Still, if these things truly are fixed and work:

Wookiee colors

Sorted Clothing crafter

Sorted Bazaar

Last remembered crafted item,

Then I can say that our profession is in a MUCH greater shape than most.

As long as they can nail the clothing degradation, and make expermentation actually useful (and maybe add XP for higher complexity items - to discourage grinding), in the next patch, I would say we'd be pretty good to go for the long run. THAT WOULD FREE UP TIME TO FIX MERCHANT USELESS SKILL LEVELS.

Your thoughts?
