I just had an Idea and I don't know if it has been brought up before here on the Tailor threads. This idea will give the Tailors more turnover on their clothing and help negate some of the high damage of the new Commando and Bounty Hunter weapons in PvP.

Make clothing have the ability to have resistances. Fire retardant clothing is not unheard of in real life, and a jacket negates cold. If you had clothing with resistances it would open up the market for tailors in a big way. Resistant clothing wouldn't have the encumbarance that armor has, so the resistance couldn't be very high, maybe up to 30%.

Like I said, I don't know if this has been thought of before, so don't flame me for what I think was a good idea. I'm just trying to help you and all of us out.

I agree.

When crafting a flight suit or transport suit notice the reinforced fiber panel is for 'radiation' resistance? Resistance? I don't get it.

Armorsmiths can now color their armor, so it'd be nice if we had a few items that aided in certain environments or climates. Something like if you're on a hot planet by not wearing the appropriate clothing you lose skill or some of your stats from your HAM?

A nice thought.
